A book of male nudes photographed on location in Ibiza over the last four years!

LONDON, United Kingdom—November 23, 2015—“Naked Ibiza,” an incredible, large scale photography book, was recently announced by renowned photographer Dylan Rosser. Rosser composed this book of male nudes photographed on location in Ibiza over the last four years. After visiting Ibiza regularly since 2000, Rosser decided to leave London for it, with the intention of photographing models outdoors in nature, something that was new to him after primarily indoor studio work. He wanted to work with more models in different locations at different times of the year to provide a more vivid picture of this Mediterranean island paradise. Rosser is very proud of the mix of models who have been part of this project. Some are experienced guys with huge fan bases while others are brand new, but definitely on their way to big success. Readers will see muscled professional body builders and lean athletic guys. Not every image is a nude, as there are some beautiful portraits of which he is proud of, but he is particularly excited about the number of models who agreed to pose full frontal for the first time.

There is absolutely no clothing in “Naked Ibiza.” That is the main rule in all of Rosser’s books, in order to guarantee the images are timeless. Something simple, like a brand of swimwear, may be fashionable now, but could be dated twenty years down the line. The nude male form outdoors in nature is absolutely timeless.

So, in order to fund this vivid and intimate book, Rosser launched a Kickstarter campaign. The funding goal was raised quickly but there is still some time to back the project and get this beautiful, intimate book before it hits the shelves later next year.

To get a copy of “Naked Ibiza” before anyone else, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks will be delivered by April 2016.

A short video teaser is available at the following link: https://vimeo.com/146226861

Please keep in mind that “Naked Ibiza” will be hitting bookstores and Amazon later in 2016, but by backing the campaign, backers will receive the Large Scale Photography Book by Dylan Rosser by Spring. Be the first to enjoy it!

I received this email by Dylan Rosser.

"I am reaching out to my social media contacts to try draw some attention to the fact I have now been blocked/banned from Facebook for 30 days. Only a week after my last 30 day ban ended.

The first ban I assume was because there was too much pubic hair. Does the bit of bush warrant 30 days in Facebook jail?

The second pic is a male nude on a rock and NOTHING is shown in this picture. Photoshop was used to take out any offending bits that might have been seen. Again, does this warrant a 30 day ban?

by Dylan Rosser, 2015

If you care about this issue of me (and many other photographers of the male nude) being targeted/bullied then I hope you can maybe do some post about it."

I sadly smiled when I read the ending sentence "if you care about this issue of me"... sadly because with all my recent family trouble, I didn't realize before Dylan was having this issue, and I for sure care about him, he is not only my favorite photographer, he is also a long-time judge for the Rainbow Awards and has always been generous with his work so that I was able to share it on my journal.

Why Dylan is a favorite of mine? cause I consider him top class, never vulgar, even if it's a full frontal, but in any case, he has never shared full frontal, you can see them only with a specific access rights on his website, or if you buy his online magazine.

And in any case the photo for which he was banned the second time isn't pornographic at all. And to prove it I will post is side by side with another similir photo... which is 113 YEARS OLD and that is consider now ART. Actually the 113 years old picture is way more "risky" than that of Dylan.

For the new issue of tMf, #12, I did again a short interview to one of the photographer featured in it. Dylan allowed me to repost in entirity the interview here, but I strongly suggest you to buy the whole issue, it's awesome as usual. "My" photographer is Antonio, and he is from Spain.

1) Would you like to tell us something about yourself? Where are you from, how old are you, what is your background (meaning are you a trained photographer or self-taught...)?

I think I was born with a camera between my hands. I had my first reflex with 15 years old and it has always been close to me. I came from the north of Spain (37 years old) but I live in Madrid. Regarding my training I studied in EFTI School in Madrid… I remember a sentence from one of my teacher which is amazing: “You need to learn the technique and as soon you have learned it… you need to forget it”. The technique is important but it is more important to say something in each picture.

2) Does your country/culture influence your photography? Is the Mediterrean origin something that you feel as yours?

Of course my culture and my background influences directly in my way of feeling the photography. In my work the use of the light is very important and I think there is not better light that the Spanish light. It is clear that I always prefer a warm pic better than a cold pic… Spain is always in my photography.

3) Is photography your main career? Where do you see yourself in the next future? Are you planning to professionally exhibit or publish your work?

Not now… who knows in the future… Right know I manage my “normal” work with the photography work something which is quite difficult. Day by day you need more time to organize your shootings, paper work trying to publish in magazines, etc, etc. I really would like to have the photography as my main career but I think it is quite impossible right now.

4) How do you select your models? what is that most catches your eyes, your ideal subject for male nudes?

I need to find a correct balance between face and body and the most important issue… the model needs to send a message in each photography. I consider that the photography is a way of sending messages and those message needs to be sent by the photographer which is managing the shoot and of course for the model. An incredible body which can not communicate a clear message is not a good team mate.

5) Usually do you give freedom to your models to move as they like or do you have an ideal "frame" that you try to recreate with them?

I always try to create a good atmosphere in the shooting. When you are able to create that the model can express himself in a better way. Then I try to direct the shoot in a soft way giving enough space to the model to pull out the best he has inside… In any case I always have an “ideal frame” with each model and I try to catch it during the shoot… sometimes I get it, sometimes not… The photography is a travel and a travel is always full of surprises…

Moreover there are also wonderful updates to the website, that for a small fee you can access (be careful, it's HOT)
