Orange Moon by Anne Cain & Barbara Sheridan

A very interesting insight of the japanese pop culture (and I hope reality is not so bad for gay lovers)

Toru is an almost thirty years old bassist of a famous band, ChildPreys. He meets and soon falls in love of Hideki, a pop singer at the beginning of his success.

Toru is not so old by age, but is old of life: he has seen everything and made everything and the first time he meets Hideki his first thought is to have another enjoyble affair. But Hideki is only 21 years old and has no opportunity to live a real life. His only goal is to achieve the success he has worked hard to obtain. And he is scared by a much more experienced man like Toru. So he runs away.

But Toru will do everything to have a second chance with Hideki, even disguise himself like a... girl, Ryoko: so, maybe, he will have to opportunity to stay near Hideki without problem and understand if he could be his real love.

But if the fans of a hard rocker could forgive him his "craziness", the boy next door image of Hideki will survive to it?

Like in the other book of this series, Winter Song, I appreciate a lot the fact that the authors manage to preserve an oriental setting and behaviour for their characters.

What's your beer personality?

gacked from [livejournal.com profile] erastes and [livejournal.com profile] l_prieto

absolutely true!!!

You Are Guinness

You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.

Bloodmoon by Mike Shade

What happened when a vampire meets a werewolf? According to Mike Shade a lot of sex!

Steven is a 200 years something old vampire: lean, pale, dark, cultured and beautiful. He lives in city and choose his victime in the gay dance club. But one night his latest victim is something special: Mike, Mikahil, is tall, hunk, country boy red head and open friendly. He loves sex and is very happy to find someone with the same hunger as his. They pass a steamy night of sex and then Steven runs away.

But after some weeks he must admit that the need of Mike is too strong: the blood of the weres his more satisfying of everyelse he has ever tried and soon Steven is addicted: to feed, to sex, to love.

But Vampires and Werewolfes are enemies, Vampires are loner, Werewolfes live in pack... can this unlikely couple find a common path?

Steven and Mike are the classical example of opposite attraction: country vs city, vampire vs werewolf, loneliness vs pack; but one thing links them together: sex that soon develop in love.

I found Mike more likable than Steven: he is open, friendly, gentle. Steven is distant and a bit egoist, but Mike manages to transform him in a nicer person... sorry, vampire!

The Stallion and the Rabbit by Mike Shade

I found it. It's months that I want to read about a sheikh who stole the body and the heart of a young man and today I found my story in The Stallion and the Rabbit by Mike Shade.

Alfahl is a sheikh of the modern days who lives like in the past. He has a moving tribe and sets their tents on the oasis, every three months a different oasis. His name means The Stallion and he is like a stallion, tall, dark and powerful.

Alex is a journalist who wants to write about a car race in the desert, but even before the race begins, is car broke in the desert and he is rescued by Alfahl's men. Really he is kidnapped by Alfahl's men who brings him to their leader. Alex is pale, slim and short, with blond hair and blue eyes: Alfahl decides to take him like English's teacher and like midnight storyteller. And because he is so cute, he names him Arneb, The Rabbit.

Nights after nights Alex tells his stories to Alfahl and the tales magic chained both of them: Alfahl, The Stallion, will succeed to keep Arneb, The Rabbit, with him forever?

A sweet tale who reminds me about Sherazahde and her stories: I would like to read more about those two.
