Tony and Kat are two brothers living in the Amazon forest and searching a mysterious cat breeds, the Shadow Cats. They are financing by a strange millionaire who has his own interest in stake. Tony and Kat are grown in the Forest, since their parents lead the research before them, and when they were killed, Tony takes the commanding role. But he has his secrets and also some problems with memory: he returned in USA six years before and spent half a year there only to return in Peru and don't remember nothing of the previous six months. Plus since then, everytime he kisses a man (Tony is gay...), he erases the memory of his partner.
Now the millionaire brings them a new man to help in the research, Stryker. But Stryker is not a simple man and he seems to have other reasons than helping in researching the animals. Tony and Stryker, alone in the forest, discover that they have more in common than expected, and sex is hot, but Stryker has a mission to finish, and it involves discovering all Tony's secrets and maybe killing him afterward.
This is only the first of a series. And actually it doesn't end, but only stop at a moment with a "to be continued" closing phrase. Maybe in the second one I will discover what happen to Tony and Stryker in the past, and if they have something in common other than a sexual attraction. I have my own idea, and time seems to coincide, so...
Tony is a strange character, he is not easy to classify. Commanding in a moment and submissive soon after... maybe he likes to be controlled in love matters, and instead wants to be in command when at work. Stryker I don't know, he is a type of few words and his feelings are puzzling...
In this moment I don't have a really good idea of the book, other than that it's a good adventures and paranormal, and it reminds me a bit of the Leopard series by Christine Feehan, that it's a very good shapeshifter series. So the premises are good, I hope to see confirmed them in the future books.
