Around the World: Mississippi Day 9

While visiting an unfinished mansion in Natchez, Mississippi, Longwood, or also known as the Nutt's Folly, I noticed this book on a table. It was all alone, the only book people could open (as I did). I know many of my friends will know of whom this book is... what I did wonder is, how strange to find it there, and why it was the only book people could touch? Maybe the last owner (male and bachelor) had a story to tell of his own...
