Gameboys is all centered around the COVID-19 pandemia and how it changed our lives. The love story between Cairo and Gavreel in season 1 is mostly built through video chat, at first between them and after a bit, including also their friends. They went through all the typical steps of a relationship, starting from dating to even kissing, remotely (yes also the kiss) and it was quite tender. They are not particular young, late teenagers, and Gavreel is also living alone, so for me it was sort of endearing looking at them, in their innocent looks, but knowing they are indeed living an experience that is bigger than them.
