My Engineer (2020)

 An engineer has to be hot stuff in the boyfriend market... Joke aside, My Engineer is, yet again, a college romance with an engineer as part of the couple. As usual the engineer is big on having the younger students respecting the SOTUS rules, even if those students are not engineers. This is the case of Bohn who forces Duen to bring him a flower per day, causing of course Duen to lose study time and people to notice the exchange. It's clear that Bohn has ulterior reasons, and Duen, for how much naive is, has anyway understood it. Duen is playing hard to catch, and in a way, I like this streak of him. What I found a little bit disappointing is that they want us to believe that, even after they are boyfriends, Bohn is still praying Duen for a kiss, let aside other stuff. Anyway, this was funny and sweet, not big drama, there is the usual evil girl in the middle, but in this case she seems more stupid than evil, and, cherry on the top, King and Ram, the couple that, for me, basically stole the scene to Bohn and Duen: at one point, tired of waiting for the kiss, I was completely into the development of King and Ram's story. Restart After Come Back Home (2020)

 Despite the main characters being quite handsome, especially Mitsuomi Kozuka, Restart After Come Back Home is actually more the rebirth story of Mitsuomi, rather than a romance with Yamato Kumai. The romance is there, and even if I was worried, usually this type of stories don't end in a happy ending romance, I was satisfied at the end. The movie is very respectful of the Japanese countryside tradition, in real life and in cinematic style, it's slow but not boring, the main character is stoic and introvert, but in a way, completely sincere with himself and with what he is feeling. TharnType (2019)

 Despite being probably the most famous BL out there, I came to TharnType late, so probably it didn't let me the same strong impression it had on so many other viewers. The reason why Type and Tharn started a sexual relationship seemed a little bit stupid, like OK I hate you (Type to Tharn), but I'm an horny guy sharing room with an hot guy, so let's have sex... If this was a porn maybe that would have been a perfect plot Anyway if you move aside the point I don't get why they got together, after that there are some thropes I like of this story: Tharn is the seme I prefer, strong but not overpowering the uke, he is jealous but not to the point of being irrational, he is sincere in his feelings, not hiding the fact that he can even cry if sad... Sincerely I prefer a lot more Tharn rather than Type, that to me came out a little bit like a spoiled brat. HEA. You can see it on iQIYI and Viki. Heat Level: 4/6.
