Second Chance (2021)

 Second Chance has a lot of potential but I think it did not reach the target. There are three couples in this series and sincerely no one of them is well developed. Starting from the less, Near and M, I had even difficulties to understand they were a couple at first. The story felt disconnected from the series. Then Paper and Sky, supposedly the main couple, but Sky spent half the series in a hospital bed... not really the right way to develop a romance. In the end the only one that was sort of good is Chris and Jeno, but, again, not so much. All in all, Second Chance was not bad, but it felt incomplete. HEA. You can see it on iQIYI and Viki. See You After Quarantine? (2021)

 See You After Quarantine? was a cute and nice COVID-19 romance. The starting point was quite unrealistic, but I suppose they should find a way to put in contact a Japanese man with a Taiwanese guy, and in this way, it worked. I really liked the character of Itsuki Sato and Chen Bo Chun was sweet. I also liked a lot the supporting character of Zhao Chi Dong, he was so well developed that he felt like he deserved his own story. Of course this is mostly a romance built upon video chat, but nevertheless it was good. It was sweet and comforting. Not sure it will survive the time, but for now, it was nice. HEA. Siew Sum Noi (2021)

 Siew Sum Noi was quite strange, possibly the fact that is mostly set in the country, and it's heavy on the custom of that region, is part of the fact it felt strange. All in all, it wasn't bad, in a way it was funny, it had almost musical vibes. Moreover the pair of IG and Ruk was nice, that first kiss was unexpected but funny, the second one, on the bridge, was again unexpected but a little more sexy, and from then on the relationship flowed in a good direction. Ok, this series was maybe a little too much exaggerated, but again, I think this is due to the first point I said, the difference in culture between a western viewer and an eastern setting. HEA. Heat Level: 4/6.
