Wails of the Bound by Keri Kusabi

Alpha Keisuke Takaba has just transferred to a new office, hoping for a peaceful work environment filled with fellow Alphas. His illusions are quickly shattered when he meets his new manager, Miyabi Karasuma—a brash Omega who is willing to use his body to get whatever he wants. Keisuke can't stand Omegas, but no matter how hard he tries, he can't avoid Miyabi and is even forced to follow along as Miyabi performs "favors" for business associates. The more he sees of Miyabi's life, the more he feels pity for the Omega... but maybe "pity" isn't the only thing he's feeling?

My Rate: 7 (amzn.to/4bS1vIL)

The first installment in the Wails of the Bound series is not for people with prejudices... let me explain: Karasuma is an Omega who is trading is body in exchange of career favours. Now if someone is having promiscuous sex cause they enjoy it, it's their own choice, but it's clear that Karasuma is suffering, and at long, he is probably encountering an early death, like Takaba's own father. Takaba is an alpha who apparently dislikes Omega, but in reality he was traumatized by his father's promiscuous life; the sad thing is that also Takaba's father wasn't doing it out of pleasure, but to maintain Takaba and his brother. Therefore Takaba feels deeply and immediately for Karasuma, and the path from that moment on is right to the two of them forming a bond. The graphic is very good, in this case I would prefer less sex, since it's not the type of sex I enjoy seeing in manga. Quite nice characters development, background history and story evolution.

Wails of the Bound: Beta by Keri Kusabi

The heart seeks love, and the body seeks servitude. Although Uto and Suzube still care for each other, they return to being boss and subordinate.

Wails of the Bound: Beta is a spin-off of popular BL title Wails of the Bound.

My Rate: 7 (amzn.to/4cbBQfu)

Wails of the Bound: Beta centers around the character of Utou, a beta who was in love with his own boss, Omega, who found his bonded Alpha partners in the first book. Therefore Utou feels like he is no more needed (he was a sort of protector) and at the same time Suzube enters the picture: another Omega, again ostracized at work and asked to perform sexual favours in exchange of career advancement. The mood of the story doesn't change much, it's still pretty dark, and up until the end, you are left wondering, how and if a Beta and an Omega can find happiness together.

Wails of the Bound: Return by Keri Kusabi

Alpha Keisuke Takaba and his Omega Mate, Miyabi Karasuma, are finally living and working together in blissful harmony–despite Karasuma being Takaba’s boss! But when Takaba is transferred to a new department, their perfect world is once again turned upside down. Will Takaba prove his worth in the entertainment world and find the confidence to work side by side with his Mate? Or will the proximity to a new alpha acquaintance ruin everything when Takaba’s possessive instincts kick in like never before?

My Rate: 7 (amzn.to/4l4nP77)

The mood in the second volume of Takaba and Karasuma's story is very light in comparison to the previous dark tone. Here we have still a very nice graphic, a lot of cute moments, and a cat too! So yes, enjoys some fluffy stuff, no more drama, just smile and relax.

My Adorable Betrothed by Dogaek

Leo, the son of a wealthy family, is the silent and shy adopted brother of the cool and regal Sui. When they were born, their parents predicted they would be wed, and after Leo's parents died he joined the family officially, but his relationship to Sui changed forever.

Leo and Sui have been "engaged" since their parents introduced them in childhood... but in the years that followed, they were barely even friends.

That is, until much later, when Leo's parents passed away and he was adopted into Sui's family. As the "brothers" grew closer in adulthood, they could no longer resist their attraction to each other... and yet, they remain unwed.

Ignoring the pressure from Sui's parents to tie the knot, the two live together in blissful sin. Despite Leo's encouragement, Sui resists the urgency of marriage, hoping to keep his adorable betrothed all to himself just a little longer...

My Rate: 7 (amzn.to/40ultWT)

I'm not sure what to think about this one. It feels like a good story with a lot of sex, and then, for whatever reason, they removed all the part without sex, and let only a sex scene after a sex scene. I think the only scene where they don't have sex is when they introduced Sui's parents, who wants for them to get married since they want to see their grandchildren... so what is this about? it's a mpreg romance? in which country they are since same-sex marriage is legal? Too much unsaid and too much sex: the incipit was nice, but the development non existing.
