For the Love of Books: Elisa Rolle

Wave from "Review by JesseWave" interviewed me for her series "For the Love of Books":

I think that this interview came out a bit more personal than usual, but well, when I answered to the question I was in mood to be so. And a warning: the pic of me is 10 years older, but it's the only one I feel confident to post, since no one will recognize me now, years and weight made the change ;-)

I thought it was a very nice interview.

Hi, Elisa!

Congratulations for the lovely interview. And it is nice to get to ''know'' you a bit better.

But why you don't want people to recognise you? I admit that reading and reviewing m/m books is probably not the most natural hobby for an Italian woman, but you are doing a nice job lots of people appreciate, you made yourself ''a name'' (I don't know if you say so in English, but you understand me as Italian ;-), what's wrong with it?

Best Wishes!

Antonella

Oh no, is not a problem of what I read, it's more a problem of who I am, I'm quite shy, even if it doesn't seem ;-) I love to meet new people, but at a slow pace. When I meet someone by person, usaully I come out as "friendly", but I spent hours doing self-training ;-)

Oh, I see! Thank you for clarifying this point.

Have a nice day!

It was a lovely interview. And I personally appreciate you being open and personal, so long as you felt ok about it - it makes it a much more enjoyable experience for your reader (me!). I think it's very hard to get *to know* someone online and through the written word alone. It's great if their personality can shine through that and make us feel closer.
*hugs*

Don't know if I feel "comfortable" now ;-) Elisa

Here's an extra HUG to reassure you that you sounded great and we love you for it. We'll look after you *lol*.

That was a great interview, Elisa. It was nice getting to learn a little more about you. Beautiful pic of you too.

I love reading your reviews, and I really like the layout of your LJ. I especially appreciate all the tags you have on the sides of your page-- so helpful.

I think this is the best compliment I can receive. I love my LiveJournal and I love even more when it's easy for other people to navigate it. Elisa

That's a great interview! And yes, you come across as very you. But isn't that the point? To be yourself?

I hope so, but I'm not always comfortable ;-) Elisa
