Cat Toy by Illian Obsidian

John is a space pilot stranded in a strange planet without memory of his past life. He is hold in captivity by Tryl, a strong and domineering cat man who makes him his sex slave.

In this strange planet couples are made by a master and a slave and Tryl has decided to finally pairs with this blond hair and pink skin man he calls Yai. Yai is tender and cute, he fears everything, but not this big and impressive cat man, who makes love to him so tenderly. And he also takes care of him and Yai, for the first time, feels like someone loves him.

Yai is more than willing to accept his new state of slave. He likes Tryl and not objects to be his sex toy. He wants to please him, he likes to please others, and the reward he receives pleasing Tryl is very sweet. Yai is a strange character, I can't understand how old he is, but he looks to be very young and very innocent.

Tryl is a very self-conscious man. He has no doubt he will take Yai as slave and that Yai will not deny him. He is a leader and he really thinks that being his slave Yai will have a better quality of live than he had previously. If not for the gentle manners he has with Yai, he would be a very irritating character. But he is so gentle and caring with Yai, that you forgive everything to him.

This is a really classical yaoi story. The very elements of the genre are abundantly used in the plot: the cute uke, with watery eyes and shy behavior, the strong seme, tall and powerful, who pleased his slave but also punished him when necessary, bringing pleasure with pain.

Even if pretty short, it is an arousing tale with two complete characters who remind me of an old "bodice-ripper" romance, The Warrior's Woman by Johanna Lindsey.

My interest in the furrier side of romance is usually more canine in nature, but... catmen? My goodness, this looks interesting.

Yes, a cat man, all covered in black fur, with pointed ears and claws and who purrs when he is satiated or to confort his pet.

*gasps, quivers*
Must... buy...

it has very good reviews on Amazon, but I have bought the ebook version. I discover this new e-pub, Loveyoudivine, who has, for now, a limited catalouge of Yaoi titles, but I have bought almost all of them: the first four chapters of The Agency Series by J.J. Massa, another tale by Illian Obsidian, about a Pirate and his slave, and the Complete Pet Series by Nix Winter (this last I'm reading now and it's good).

I am glad you reviewed this book! I had bought it from loveyoudivine a while back and when my hard drive obliterated everything, I went back to try to ask for mercy and/or buy it again and it was gone! I can now add it back to my elibrary (in two different places). :)
Thanks...and Happy New Year!

Yes, Torquere Press re-released the book and I updated the review I originally made for it. It is a book I read at least three time, I like it a lot. Elisa

I enjoy this one too. This one is Yaoi! I have a thing for cat men (seme) or cat boy (uke). LOL.

Yes a very classical yaoi, with blurry eyes uke and strong seme. And the furs... ;-) Elisa

I've just finished reading this (after Hajiri's pet I now find myself exploring all of your "furry lovers" reviews).
Yai really is the classical uke - a bit too weak and passive for my liking.
It was a roller coaster read for me. I think I'm not really sure how I feel about it.
The one thing that I absolutely loved was the way these catmen doted on their slaves (although the first 2 fur slaves tended to by Tryl didn't seem to be as lucky). It was a good welcome when compared to stories where the owner didn't care if their slaves were happy or not.

This is a reprinted book, so, for real, it's quite "old" (in comparison to other books of the same genre). I believe that, in the western overview, it was one of the first "furry lovers" ebook. So maybe, it lacks in definition. And yes, Yai's character is so week that also I sometime would like to knock him on the head. But as a first, it was quite good. I have an idea on the real identity of Ilian Obsidian, but don't want to make suggestion...

P.S. in the furry lover series, I like also Stephanie Burke's works. Shadow Dancer with Loose Id and Space Opera with Changeling Press are among my favorite. Elisa

Thanks for those recommendations. I will check them out.

Space Opera is still an ongoing series, I would like for the author to write faster :-) Elisa

P.S. Shadow Dancer is part of a trilogy but the other two books are M/F: I have them but didn't find the mood to read.

For some reason I'm really not interested in the M/F stories. i don't really know why, they're just not as enticing to me.
I'll check out Space Opera :)
