The oncologist has graduated me to only having to come twice a year instead of every three months so that's good news. Quite happy about that.

So I did damage to my wallet in celebration. I went to Bahnhof WVrsthaus & Biergarten for a reuben. Was going to get a cocktail with my lunch but wanted to try the giant cream puff. Both of which were the same price as the sandwich and didn't want to have a 50$ lunch.

This is enough for 3 days of desserts. It was chocolate peppermint. Next time I'll do the cocktail. Wish I could have stayed for their Krampus nacht but this is in a dodgy area near downtown/Marshall's campus.

Hit the comic book store, Michael's and lost my ever loving mind in the Italian section of HomeGoods.

So a while back I got two of the mooncat nail polishes which I mentioned. Here are my thoughts

Hell is Other People Side note: this is a color match to my living room curtains (I have a preference apparently)

It covers well with just one coat compared to say OPI, China Glaze or Morgan Taylor (which are the other pro ones I've used) That said even with Mooncat's overpriced top coat, this stuff chipped within hours. By day three I had to remove it. So, while pretty I can't see it for the price.

404: Soul Not Found Okay I totally failed with the magnet but to be fair 1) I have no idea what I'm doing 2) I have almost no nail right now so I can't put the magnet UNDER the nail as instructed.

Amazing coverage. 2 coats and you can't even see how terribly ridged my nails are from the anemia. Also I am absolutely fascinated with the color change. I've had color change polish before but not one of this quality. Some light it's emerald in other purple, and yet others teal blue to almost black. It took 48 hours to chip it (also had the over coat) Now this one I would do again and would consider other magnetics.

Also there has to be bad news in one of my days right? At 130 I got a text from the company my insurance uses for Dexcom and they can't fill my order because they always do it for a quarter and I'm losing this insurance in 3 weeks. At 230 my sensor acts up. At 5 the sensor dies 3 days early. Guess who has to call the endocrinologist tomorrow for some emergency test strips to carry me over til January because I don't even know if the shit new insurance will even cover a CGM.

Just had a horrible realisation :DDD

So it turns out my ex wanted sex from me more than they loved me :/ Yay, 6 months of my life on a person that basically used me to fulfil their sexual needs at the detriment of my mental wellbeing

December Movie PTW List

I completed 6/6 movies from my last challenge, it went just okay - I rated one 4.5 and a couple in the 3-star range. I think I'm starting to feel 'meh' about movies, maybe burnt-out or just too tired, but I'll keep on and see how it goes.

What even is sleep?

Last night I was not tired. 3 AM I'm still wide awake. Finally drift off, wake at 630. I mean 3 hours is enough, right? Fell asleep grading tonight, big red line straight down someone's test.

My stomach is higher acid now than it has been and I have more sore in my mouth. sigh.

Left here with a weird call from my dentist. We had to bill something for the comprehensive exam (which my insurance doesn't allow more than 2) What comprehensive? You didn't even take X-rays and Aspen only did a follow up. I'll need to call my insurance. Came home to an even weirder call on the messages, something about medical mutual making a referal to Anthem Blue Cross...um WHAT? Insurances don't refer to each other. I have no idea.

I had to do a make up lab in the middle of the faculty meeting about all the forced Republican laws we now have to follow in OH (where in universities must bow to Republican rule or be closed more or less, fun fascist times)

A Twist of Murder - Charles Dickens is the detective, yes another real person fanfic mystery. So far I am unimpressed.

Spellbound: A Graphic Memoir by Bishakh Kumar Som - boring AF memoir theoretically about a trans journey, mostly about watching her building alcoholism and whining about how hard it is to make a living as a graphic novel artist

I also love when Chrome comes out with something that solves a problem, makes me proud. :') Because of Senkuu, Chrome gets to learn more of what he loves.

Episode 7: Kohaku got another badass speech!

It's down to the wire and they're still trying to figure out how to make the diamonds work with the Medusa, but they got a new lead.

Episode 8: It just hit me that Charlotte looked exactly like a sex doll or cartoon balloon when she was poisoned by the spider...she was all butt and boobs. 🙄

Xeno, even if Stanley wasn't a military man he would rescue you even if it wasn't by murdering teenagers...

Usui getting excited is so cute.

Even knowing Tsukasa and Hyouga will be okay it's hard to see them gunned down like that. 😭 And Tsukasa's last thoughts being proud of them and of Senkuu.

I can't remember if we get to see Joel and Kaseki meet but I need to see it!

Joel climbing out from under the corpses, hand getting shut in the vault but pressing the watch on time...the tension!! I'm glad I get to experience it twice through the manga and now the anime, because I definitely forgot some things.

Snow Day

It was nice and snowy and any other day I'd be thrilled but today was my lab test and I had to reschedule it for tomorrow...and friday and hope to hell they all can make it at such short notice.

Also my throat hurt too much to go out and play. I have sores on my tongue now so I have no idea what's going on in my mouth but I ain't happy. (I am wondering if my gerd is getting so bad, stomach acid is burning the fuck out of my mouth)

I did get out in the afternoon to CVS who finally had my insulin (three days later) but there were so many people there it took nearly a half hour.

I did get sleep though. I was in bed by quarter after 1 in the morning. (hush, that's early for me) slept to 7 Am, rolled over went back to sleep for another 3 hours.

I am in that nebulous area with one fandom ending its season and the next one 11 days away from dropping a new episode so both Hazbin fans and Amazing Digital Circus fans are awash in speculation (and naturally ship wars that I'm ignoring hard). We'll have some answers for TADC in 11 days (and then not again until March), Hazbin will not be around until probably 2027. Even though the voice acting for S3 is done and they're on to S4 already, the animation takes for freaking forever (and I'm okay with that).

The speculation is fun and it'll certainly give me a lot of fanfic prompts. What will happen with the Vees now? What about poor Angel? Husk and Cherri, what will they do? Lilith is she showing up? Who will be the next villain?

We know it'll be about family so definitely Charlie and Lucifer (Lilith?) will have a lot more to do. I hope to hell (pun intended) that they will make them less fucking stupid because S2 was hard yinz. So hard. Charlie was annoying as was Lucifer.

We know Arackniss is showing up. So we're getting Angel's family. Backstory please.

Viv did say in addition to the Morningstars we're getting more about Angel and Husk so it's going to be a long wait.

so let me ask this, for those with still on-going fandoms, do you like the wait? Do you like speculating on what comes next? Does it make you nuts? I will hand HH this, no big cliffhangers, open threads, cliffhanger no. I hate cliffhangers so I was happy.

FIC: From Daxis to Emor (Tempestuous Tours)

North of Border Port lies a beach. Its serene beauty belies its bloody history.

It is here that, on half a dozen occasions, the Daxions beat back the Emorian armies that were intent on conquering Daxis. Finally frustrated by all these attacks over the border, the Daxions undertook an amazing task of landscaping, bringing the Western Ocean several miles inland from where it had lain before. Once the Daxions were finished, their border with Emor had narrowed to a brief passageway between a mountain and the deep Ocean.

Guarding the border has been exceedingly simple since then. Indeed, on the one occasion on which Daxions permitted Emorian soldiers to cross the border – in 976, when Daxis agreed to allow the Emorians to travel south in order to attack the Koretian capital from its naked back – it took so long for Emor's vanguard to pass over the border, one horse at a time, that a concerned Koretian borderlander was able to alert Koretia's council in the south to the coming attack. Alas, his message was not heeded, and Koretia fell to the Emorians.

The Daxions, on the other hand, have not been attacked from the north since they persuaded the Ocean to guard them. Their true vulnerability lies now to the east, which is why Daxis attempts to maintain good relations with Koretia these days.

Because the border is so narrow, you will likely have to wait several hours to cross the border into Emor, during the busy season. You may wish to spend your time exploring the caves nearby.

I'm so tired out

I didn't get home until 8 after setting up a muscle practical but that might not even happen as a snow storm is on its way.. Fun times.

So tired, I took my night pills, forgot, took more pills (tomorrow's morning pills) by mistake (Nothing much to worry about but I probably won't sleep since one is sort of an upper).

Watching The Running Man for the first time in forever (the Arnie version) I loved this moving growing up. It's corny yes but oddly enough it predicted a lot of things (only off by a decade) including a fascist president, media controlling everything and deep fakes.

Speaking of fascist presidents, I had a dream I was in my grandmother's house and Trump was in there hiding and we were trying to root him out. Thanks brain.

My tooth/throat got much worse today, lost my voice. I'm wondering if they're related as the 'tooth' is more the gum around it.

I can't be very mad at Marinette this time for trying to help Adrien find his passion, she saw how it upset him and thought she could help. It is true though that sometimes it takes time to find it and sometimes you don't have some big ~passion~. I mean, I guess I could say my big passion is reading but I'm not a booktuber or some big spender on it.

Marinette's excuse to slip away is her stuff left behind possibly getting destroyed but Ladybug always fixes stuff like that.

Too bad Adrien's passion is being a superhero, he can't exactly talk to anyone about it, plus he can't do that in his civilian life... Plus, someday there will be no akuma if they take care of Lila.

Seems like Max could've easily gotten Aurore a signed copy of his mom's book.

As some of you already know, I posted last month's update two days after I tripped on an uneven sidewalk, banged my head three times against a metal fence, and acquired a concussion, not to mention a broken leg. (I consider that update to be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.)

Unfortunately, the concussion delayed my completion of "Heir" and its accompanying Blood Vow omnibus, since putting together an omnibus requires a concentrated mind I just don't have at the moment. I've moved those two projects to next year's schedule. In their place, I've juggled my release schedule in order to offer my Ream and Patreon readers a side story this month from The Motley Crew.

The timing of my next e-book installment release is a little uncertain at the moment, since my recovering head is still at the stage where, every time I edit a story, I introduce more errors than I correct. However, I hold out hope that I'll be able to get a new e-book installment out in January. In the meantime, as you can see, I'm continuing to bring out blog fiction.

Fortunately, the concussion hasn't stopping me from writing stories. Among other things, I've finished composing Motley Mayhem, the third novel in the Thousand Nations series.
