Ruth Adams Knight (1894/1898 – May 10, 1974)
Ruth Adams Knight (1894–1974) began her long career as a journalist writing news and feature stories for the Toledo Times. She was a writer who created her own radio series, "Brave Tomorrow", "The Great Gildersleeve" (1941-49, 1952-57, 1966) and “Those We Love” (1942, 1944), and wrote network programs.
In 1937, CBS was airing Dr. Christian: The Steve and Charlotte Story: An ambitious local poet hopes to divorce her unwilling husband, until he seems to fall for an attractive accident victim he escorted from Christian's (Jean Hersholt)'s office. Pretty standard entry in the series if you’re a first-time listener. Nurse Price: Lurene Tuttle. Additional cast: Unknown. Announcer: Art Gilmore. Music: Ivan Ditmars. Director: Neil Reagan. Writer: Ruth Adams Knight.
