Around the World: Holland

A lot of things I could tell, but I'm a little tired and need to sleep ;-) enough to say that first night in Amsterdam, wandering without purpose and not following any guide, guess in what neightborhood I ended in? let me say there were a lot of rainbow flag ;-)

They are great shots

I'm surprised that they still have windmills in Holland...I assumed that they were a thing of the past with only a few left for the benefit of tourists.

Wow, I live in Holland, you make it look really nice in these pictures :) And yes, we still have windmills :P The clogs are mostly for tourists though

What superb pictures - those tulips are gorgeous. It's a lovely city, we've been there a couple of times, and have friends in Delft. Enjoy your trip!:)

Wow, a lot of these are pretty enough to be postcards.

I stayed a few weeks in Amsterdam then went on to Berlin, good thing I did, the Berlin Wall was a-cumin' down. I don't know which was better seeing the 'prostitutes' of Amsterdam or seeing the wall tumbling down. It was November 1989.

I spent a few weeks in Amsterdam and only left to see the Berlin Wall go tumbling down. What a time that was, the winter of 1989. I don't know which I miss the most, the 'prostitutes' of Amsterdam or the Berlin Wall disappearing for good. In a way, there is a longing for that time.

Beautiful pictures, Elisa. I especially like the first one... image of distant windmill taken through blade of nearby... further proof you have a good eye for artistry.

Welcome back! I love your eye for composition. (I also envy those tulips. We have one blooming so far...
