Rainbow Awards: Cover Contest - Round 1 - Finalists

After 20 polls, Round 1 has its finalists and the 600 covers for Round 2. Remember the vote is(more or less) a 25% special jury (Debra, Dylan Rosser, Jack Mackenroth, Jesse Archer, Julie, Max Rhyser, Mitzie, Tammy) and a 75% popular poll. I say more or less since not always the number of people voting in the polls are the same. So yes, you can have some surprises from the Jury vote and for this reason I will disclose the 3 finalists according to the Jury and the 3 finalists according to the polls. And next Friday I will post the first out of six poll for round 2. Enjoy!

Jury Finalists

1

Dangerous Man

2

Love Drugged by Lisa Novak

3

Arabesque by Ms. Rosek

Building Arcadia by Jito Lee

Future Histories

Hellebore and Rue by Vasilis Akoinoglou

Visible Friend by Anne Cain

Popular Poll Finalists

1

Birds Of A Feather (2) by Reese Dante

2

Destined by Phoenix Lu

3

Apples and Regret and Wasted Time by Nathie

City Falcon by Reese Dante

Dark Angel by Reese Dante

Visible Friend by Anne Cain

Okay, so everything under number 3 in both categories (Jury and Popular) are actually all the ties for number three?

And the jury is going to now vote on the 600 covers in round 2, which are the same covers it saw in round 1 only cut by half?

So what does being a finalist mean by this context since the contest is far from over? I think I understand now what you meant after re-reading.

Thanks!

yes, exactly

same covers you see in the poll and at the same time you are voting on the poll they are voting the same cover, with the same standard (i.e. they can vote only 25 covers out of 100), only that their vote count 2. Consider the Jury is made by 8 person, so it's like they are casting 16 votes, where, more or less, I have 50 people voting on the polls.
