Henri is an ancient vampire who is summoned by the death bed of an old human friend. Madeleine, his former lover, is dying and she wants Henri helps her son, Nathan.

Nathan is a young man, innocent and open. He can also feel the emotions of the other person, like his mother before him, and for this reason he has drawn the attention of a rogue vampire, Bellario.

But from the first time Henri meets Nathan, he knows he can't permit that Bellario claims the boy, and not only cause he is the son of a dear friend, but because Nathan is his mate.

Henri is an old and experience vampire that maybe has lost a little the savour of life. Nathan is like a fresh breeze who reawkens his desire: he is not a storm, he is like the night breeze, light and refreshing.

Nathan has no fear of Henri, even when he discovers his real nature: he can feel the desire of the man, and wants him. He accepts inside him all the strong emotions and the bad events to return outside only peace and quiteness. He is like a son of the nature.
