Man Candy Day: Tym Roders
All right, this time I found a real beauty for you! Usually I prefer my man dark haired, and in this case, well, I have no hair to judge... in any body part! But well, yes, I must confess, I was distracted from another very beautiful attribute of Tym! what is it? oh, well, it's not so hard to imagine... Anyway, silly Elisa's thoughts apart, Tym has for real a very good body shape, and the beauty of his face is almost mesmerizing (yes I saw a close up of his face, but here I preferred to post some other pics ;-) )
Tym Roders, 26 years old from Vancouver, British Columbia. He won the Mr. Priape Wear International 2008 Competition and is the model featured in the music video for Gord Bamford's "Postcard From Pasadena", produced by Arkadia Pictures Inc. and directed by multiple award-winner Stephano Barberis.
“I was raised by my loving parents in the small northern BC town of Terrace. After I finished high school, I worked at the local TV/Radio station behind the scenes and as an on air personality. After a year of dabbling in the media industry, I decided to move to Vancouver and pursue my passion for makeup artistry.”
“I trained as a makeup artist in 2004 at Blanche MacDonald. I was awarded the CNOMA Award for Best Student Fashion Makeup Design in Canada. I worked at Holt Renfrew with Stila and Prescriptives before I struck out on my own. Some of my jobs included makeup for weddings, photo shoots and modeling shows. While I was working in makeup, I modeled in a couple of small campaigns for Slikman and Ginch Gonch. I began to think that this might be the career for me. Everything changed when a photographer friend of mine told me about a contest being held by Priape. They were looking for a new spokes model. After competing and winning the campaign, I decided I would give modeling a serious shot. So, I quit doing makeup and I haven't looked back!”
“So far, I have been extremely fortunate to work with some very talented individuals and some pretty big names in the industry. My goal is to break into the mainstream modeling market and make a name for myself in the industry.”
“I am often asked about my fitness routine by quite a few people. Most of it is just good genetics. Thanks, Mom and Dad! Even so, keeping a lean and toned body isn't just about aesthetics for me. It's primarily about keeping a healthy lifestyle. I was diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes when I was 11 years old. Living with this disease has kept me very aware of the impact daily routine has on my body. I work out 7 days a week. In addition, I dance and jog as much as I can. Working out and being healthy isn't a chore for me. It's a way of life.”
