Jazzy Little Christmas by Nica Berry

Can I define this book, How to write a complete story in less than 40 pages? Reading it I was continuely looking at the page number and thinking "Oh no, it's almost finished but I want to read more.

Gerry is a jazz piano player. He is in love with Javier, a singer, but Javier is not so in love with him and left him on the Christmas Eve leaving only an email to explain things. Gerry is full of pain and he could no more listen to the music he was feeling when he made love to Javier. Three years later Javier is again alone during Christmas Eve and he no more has a reason to go on and searches a way out on San Diego pier and in the water below it. But Paz, a sax player who knew Gerry before the "accident" with Javier and who was in love with him till then, rescues him and "forces" him to accept him as muse.

The story is not more than this, but it's tender and well written, a beautiful Christmas tale to the sound of Latin tunes. And as I said, I'd be happy to read more about Gerry and Pax, and about the music they "do" together.
