2013 GayRomLit in Atlanta

So, I'm back. I'm very very tired, jetlag is a bummer, and I have still to go back to my usual routine. I posted the Rainbow Awards cover contest (go vote!), sorry if I was late, I know there was who was waiting for this round :-) I posted some pictures from my touring of the South, Asheville, Charleston, Savannah, but also Myrtle Beach, Georgetown and Beaufort were all amazing places, beautiful houses and very friendly people. And finally the GRL: as usual it was fun, and friendly atmosphere; this year I wasn't so much out during the day, but I enjoyed very much to play at night with my vintage collection, Damon suggested I had to do a blog of all those dresses, so here they are (sorry for the quality of the pictures, but my mom is not really good with her ipad...):

(1) MLR Opening Reception: you cannot see much, but the dress was silver with some blue in the thread, the dress was from 1962, and I know since that is my mom dress, she had it tailored when she was 20 years old for a New Year Eve.
(2) The Juke Joint w/ eXtasy, Stiff Rain and Wilde City: the vest was see-through, I matched it with silver pants; that is a '70s outfit from Cote d'Azur, France
(3) Dine with a Featured Author Dinner: that black dress is the first night outfit I bought when I was 19 years old, so exactly 20 years ago (so that is a 90s outfit! it's vintage now!)

(4) Dreamspinner’s One Enchanted Evening: the dress is from late '60s, in gold, silver and blue; it has the full length of the sleeves opened, tighted together with pearl buttons in the same pattern of the dress; I had a vintage necklace from the '40s.
(5) Samhain Cocktail Party: a late '50s, beginning of the '60s dress in crepe de chine, with all the corsage decorated with pearls and crystals; you cannot see, but I had peal earrings from the beginning of the '60s (again, my mom's)
(6) Total E-bound's Heaven and Hell Masquerade Ball: a wedding dress from India, I bought it in the Tekka Market in Singapore. The necklace and sandals were from India too, my friend Alessandra's.

Thank you to all for being so nice, the hightlights of this year was my dinner with Simone Anderson, TC Blue and Rowan McAllister (even if she was from the other side of the table and I cannot hear nothing :-)), my lunch with K.A. Mitchell, my other lunch with Rick Reed and Lily Velden, an after hour with Eric Arvin (and TJ Klune, but he was like a butterfly, never stopping long ;-)), various breaks with Clare London (we both preferred quiet sometime...). Oh, and I had dinner with Damon Suede and Kate McMurray in NYC too! and tea with Vincent Virga in his wonderful Gramercy Park apartment (love that house, really beautiful and full of mementos from the past).

And now... the pictures! )

And also the Rainbow Awards pin-up boy from Paul Richmond was at the GRL:
