Where Your Eyes Linger (2020)

 Where Your Eyes Linger is a cliche, Han Tae Joo and Kang Gook, apparently childhood friends are instead spoiled brat and bodyguard. More, if Han Tae Joo behaves badly, the one taking the punishment is Kang Gook. It's clear the link between Han Tae Joo and Kang Gook is strong, but at first, I think, Han Tae Joo considers Kang Gook his property. It's only when there is a chance for Kang Gook to have his own life, separated from Han Tae Joo, that this last will stake his claim. That is, I liked the story but it almost felt like everything marched to Han Tae Joo's pace, and in the end, he remained a spoiled brat who obtained all he wanted. HEA. Why R U? (2020)

 The 2020 version of Why R U? is my favorite; even if it's about two couples, Zon and Saifah sort of disappear on the background when Tutor and Fighter appear on the scene. I loved this couple, I liked also the supposed love interest of Tutor who became the girlfriend of Fighter, she was for once a positive character, not pitty or vendicative. Probably I prefer Tutor and Fighter's story cause it seemed more realistic and built in little step in comparison to that of Zon and Saifah that sort of started abruptly. Moreover I didn't see much evolution in their story, wherelse I had the chance to see even the little changes in the relationship of Tutor and Fighter. HEA. You can see it on Viki. Why R U? (2023)

 The Korean remake of Why R U? was not a disappointment but was a completely different feeling in comparison to the Thai version. The balance between the two couples, Jung Lee Won and Kim Ji Oh on one side, and Woo Sun Woo and Ko Yoo Kyeom on the other, was here equal, and considering that Jung Lee Won and Kim Ji Oh should be the main couple and Woo Sun Woo and Ko Yoo Kyeom the side one, indeed I liked better Jung Lee Won and Kim Ji Oh: finally I had the chance to see their evolution and to enjoy their moment together. They were actually quite sexy. Woo Sun Woo and Ko Yoo Kyeom were good too, not so sexy like their friends, but still quite good. HEA. You can see it on iQIYI and Viki. Heat Level: 4/6.

Theory of Love (2019)

 Theory of Love was good, and in a way, I liked that the character of Khai was basically a cold bastard. Khai and Third are best friends, Third has a secret crush on Khai, and, from what I gathered, when Khai is made aware of that, instead of trying to kindly reject Third, he decides having a sexual thirst with him is a good idea. He starts to court him, throwing Third in unknown territory. But this is not the usual thrope where Khai falls in love with Third; he is actually discovered by Third and therefore rejected as a friend and prospective lover. And it's only at this point that Khai realized he is starting to have feeling for Third. So yes, Khai is not a "good" character, but in a way, it's his ambivalence that makes him interesting. HEA. Twittering Birds Never Fly (2020)

Twittering Birds Never Fly was tagged as erotic, and indeed there is a lot of sex, but in a way, sex is just part of the healing process of both male leads. I think that Yashiro in way likes Doumeki being impotent, cause in this way, Doumeki will be the only one who Yashiro cares for and that will not hurt him. Deep down Yashiro links sex with hurt, and he doesn't want to go down that path with Doumeki. I was truly loving this anime, but it was an abrupt end. I read a second season was announced but never hired and now, at 4 years from the premiere of season 1, I suppose there is no chance to see it. Pity cause this was really a little gem.

Last Twilight (2023)

 Considering that Jitaraphol "Jimmy" Potiwihok is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors in BL series, it was quite expected that Last Twilight was up to my expectations. The character of Mhok is so good, and it allowed its actor to fully express his potential. When in episode 6 Day is first kissed by August and than by Mhok, it was clear to everyone, even to a blind man like Day (pun totally intended) who was the right choice: to a meek and bleh kiss of August, Mhok replies with an almost feast of the senses, devoring Day. That is, this series is basically chaste, just few kisses, but when it's Mhok delivering them, it's almost NC. There is nothing much to say on the plot, it's your standard love story, with slow buring romance, declaration of love, separation and reunion, but I recommend this series, not much for the plot, but for its actors; other than Day and Mhok, also all the other cast around them, friends, relatives, and co, are good and partecipate to make a BL series that is all about your emotions Even the soundtrack is good, and you can even enjoy the MV on the GMMTV official channel. HEA. You can see it on Youtube. Heat Level: 3/6. P.S. I really don't like the poster, I think it's not up to the quality of the series.
