Checkpoint by Kit Zheng

Sips are always short story, sometime less than 20 pages, like this one, but sometime they manage to build a worthy story in few moments.

Evren is a 35 years old business man who was just dumped by his younger lover. A man for whom Evren has signed his body like someone could write a journal. For every anniversary of their love, Evren puts a piercing in his body, and now he has two rings in his nipples and six in his penis... and no lover near him.

Running away from the city which has seen his defeat, Evren is stopped to the checkpoint of the airport, which obviously rings like a carillon to all his piercing. Officer Regan needs to search him "deeply" and in a private room Evren discovers that Regan is more interested in how Evren knows to use his piercings.

After their brief encounter, Evren has maybe still a reason to "love" his piercings.

Funny and enjoyable, Evren's character has a good development; maybe I would like a bit more on Regan, but still, for a sip, this one is good.
