A funny night with William Maltese... don't think bad!
Yesterday night I have had an online rapture, like I always have when I find some new online tools.

erastes I have signed on MySpace: after one day I have to say that I don't like it very much, but I will try to give it a look sometime
BTW in my online rapture I have sent a lot of invitations (add friend button): one also to William Maltese. I know him by name, but never read a book, I believed, until last night.
Yes because Mr Maltese almost immediately replied to me in a very kindly tone and said: "Oh, you are Elisa! I've heard so damned much about you (??? you guys talk a lot there in America, don't you?)" and the "I love Italy and Italians. Italy having been one of the first countries in which my Harlequin SuperRomances were released in foreign-language editions"
What????, "Excuse Mr Maltese (really I call him William, but it is a little strange, he has published his first book 6 year before my birth!) but you used a pen-name to write, because really I don't remember a William between the Harlequins Authors... (10/20 years ago I read Harmony, the serial by Harlequin in Italy)".
"Oh yes, Willa Lambert" YESSSSS "I remember you, I have read also one of your book, but I sold it some years ago..."
"What title?" "L'inganno del destino"
"Oh, really? I think Harlequin didn't pay me the royalty for it, cause I haven't it in italian" "If you want I can try to find it for you" "Yes, thanks"
And guys, today your "Sherlock" Elisa has found the book, really I have found all the three books translated in italian of Mr Maltese and when they arrive to me (in one or two days) I will send them to him.
But the thing really funny in all this story is that Harlequin in Italy is a very restricted publisher, more prim and proper, not very trasgressive, and think that 25 years ago he has published three books by a man, who wrote with a woman pen-name, and who also wrote gay novels... I'm still laughing. And also William Maltese said to me that he has re-wrote all the three book in M/M perspective: I'm very curious to read them in italian and in M/F version and then read them in english in M/M version.
