Man Candy Day: Ari Levanael
This week I feel almost a divine inspiration... nahhh don't worry, I believe that Ari is all but an angel! And with those eyes...
Ari is a respected and accomplished artist who has performed throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. This year alone he has wowed audiences in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Turkey and the U.K. His skills range from the aerial circus arts; aerial silk, spanish web, corde lisse, static trapeze and aerial ring to harness work, fire dance and pole dance.

Developed with years of performance and worldwide travels, his goal is to create innovative performance for audiences over the world using physical skill, costume, sound and light. With the ability to create a show for any theme or occasion, he is destined to leave the audience amazed!
He has performed for audiences at events such as the Glastonbury Festival in the UK, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, the Storas, Ibsen, Jessheim and Moon Festivals in Norway, at numerous festivals throughout Australia and at the grand opening of the Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong. Dazzling audiences at events for major international corporations including MTV, IBM, Motorola, Coca Cola, Virgin Airlines, Sydney Fitness Expo, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Sony to name a few.
Other than his solo projects, he has worked with Australia’s Webber Brother’s Circus, Flying Fruit Fly Circus, is an ensemble performer in Norway’s Cirkus Khaoom and also works regularly with The Sydney Aerial Theatre Association.
Ari is an accomplished private tutor and teacher with Hangar Arts Trust`s Aircraft Circus in London, Aerialize, (Sydney Aerial Theatre) and Australian Theatre for Young People. He was recently invited as guest trainer for the Flying Fruit Fly Circus National Youth Training Project 2007. He has also recently choreographed an aerial sequence in a new music video for Emi Music.
For children he teaches skills in aerial arts, mini-tramp, acro-balance and building performance skills and for adults he teaches advanced aerial skills. He has also worked in a range of other settings varying from teaching underprivileged children in remote areas of Australia, to working in schools in Sydney and Oslo.
He continues to explore and develop new ways to perform and invent fresh discoveries in his unique approach to aerial disciplines. His performance style moves from traditional to radical.
Ari is also a trained Tarot Reader who started the journey with tarot Cards at the age of 13. At 23 he studied with Ly de Angeles, 'Queen of Tarot' in Byron Bay, Australia. (www.myspace.com/lydeangeles)
Ari has also appeared in feature films, short films, television commercials, editorial campaigns and in photographic exhibitions worldwide.
