2016 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: The Wrong Kind of Woman by Voss Porter (287-08-16-2016)
I really enjoyed this book. The author did a brilliant job with the pacing of the story. I never once felt as if the storyline was dragging or that it was being rushed, everything flowed as it should have, giving me-and other readers-the chance to really get to know Bri and Dana. To fall in love with them. To be annoyed by them at times. To laugh with them, and to cry with them. The love story between these two women, set against a backdrop of danger and violence, childhood hurts and pains, was beautifully described and expressed by the author through the development of the characters, the wildly descriptive settings, and a plot that was thrilling in all manners of the word. To that end I had to give this book a score of 40/40. It was very much deserved.
