2016 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: For Never and Always by Ana J. Phoenix (342-08-30-2016)

1) This novel evoked a wistful, tender mood with its beautiful cover, and that mood carried through in the story. This was a emotional story wonderfully told.

2) It was touching, and unlike anything I have ever read. This book took the cliched trope of Dead People and made it fresh. Carter, though dead, grows as much as Seth. Phoenix tackles the difficult topic of male-on-male domestic violence and it's aftermath with grace and authenticity.
