I'm not much for anthologies, but Close Friend is only 4 couples, and with season 2 they detailed 2 out of 4 of those couples, and lucky me, one of them was my favorite, Jedi and Ray. Ray is a barista and a huge fan of idol Jedi, who sometime comes take coffee at his workplace. In private, Ray has a virtual machine and he can interact with an hologram of Jedi, who, after a bit, start to seem way to much real. In the meantime, Typhoon and Pierce, already a couple, start to have some misunderstanding when Typhoon does not come out at work, and treats him more like a roommate than a boyfriend. Close Friend s2 focus on Jedi and Ray, and here the thrope of famous male lead who has to conquer the public opinion to be able to have an HEA with his ordinary man partner is perfectly played.
