Plot: An edgy drama about a gay teen’s tumultuous decent into drugs and anonymous sex, Wrecked smashes cinematic taboos while it spins its cautionary tale. Ryan is an earnest 18-year-old trying to develop a career as an actor and getting his life on the right track. This course is quickly threatened with the sudden arrival of his sort-of ex, Daniel, who arrives at Ryan’s door wanting a place to stay and offering the promise of a normal, loving relationship. But Daniel’s drug addiction and attitude towards casual sex derail any hope for normalcy and soon ensnares Ryan in his own downward spiral. Handheld cameras, a hot young cast and a boldly upfront approach to sex combine to make Wrecked a unique film experience.

I'm not sure I will see a second time this movie: it's very strong, a punch in the gut, and for whom, like me, has a romantic perspective, it's maybe too dark and emotional. The boys in this movie are young and ordinary, not overly pretty, maybe cute, but above all they are soo young, and with a whole life in front of them, but I felt like something was eating them alive, something that will prevent them to fully experience that life, something that will consume them before time.

The movie has a very minimal cast, and a very low budget, but I appreciated the use of color and camera: when what little of romance you can find in the movie enter the scene, then the color are warm, the imagines almost fuzzy; when reality strucks, the light is vivid, almost eyes hurting.

Again this is probably not the movie you should to see if you are searching romance and happily ever after (not probably, for sure), but unfortunately I think it's a even too much real shot on part of today reality.

Be aware it's really dark and no HEA whatsoever. I'm happy to have seen it but I think I will not see it again, too emotional involvment for me.
