Fine Lines by Alexander

Who reads my LiveJournal knows that I'm not fond of S/M genre. In my life I'm a person who avoids pain. Physical and mental. I see too much of it, and from people I deeply love, and I think I have locked something in me. I avoid too much pain as I avoid too much joy, better not have to have and lose.

Why I say all these things? cause I have to explain you what I will write next in this post. And you have to understand that when I say that I like what I have read is not a simple thing to say for me.

Fine Lines is the story of two lovers. No name for them, and all in all it's only a scene, but if you can read behind the lines, you will find a bigger and complex story. And also a very intimate story.

A young boy (I don't know why I think it's young, but I "read" him young), with some unanswered questions from his young age, and with emotional issues, clings to the love of his partner. A love that is expressed creating a safe haven for his lover and through a D/S game between them, a game which is also brought on with a blade and a blood play.

Blade, blood... you can think that this is a mad game, but I don't read pain or fear between this two lovers, but only love, a deeply and warm, and secure, love.

Fine Lines is a free story in the new online magazine "Thaneros"

Elisa,
I don't mind reading S&M stories, and am honestly quite intrigued by them and dynmaic of such D/s relationships.

I was a bit apprehensive about reading "Fine Lines" because of the subject matter, but I did when [livejournal.com profile] ashmedai originally posted it. I always have faith in his incredible use of words and imaginary.

Though this story disturbs me somewhat, I read it and was left with a feeling of great reverence between the lovers. That's a difficult feat for any writer, in my opinion, but to get that across to me using the context of this story, I was reminded again how brilliantly talented Alex is.

He will be pleased that you have reviewed his story. :)

Thank you for doing so.

It was a pleasure Alex. I remember to have read this story, or most of it, on your LJ, but I'm happy that now more people can read it.

And I hope to be able to read a longer novel by you, sooner or later.
