Rebecca Stratton (? - January 5, 1982)

Rebecca Stratton wrote two books as a Harlequin Presents author. Writing for the Harlequin Romance imprint, she published 43 novels.

She also wrote under the name Lucy Gillen. As an author for Harlequin Romance, Lucy Gillen published 36 novels.

She is one of the famous author of Mills&Boon. She passed away in January 5, 1982.

Two of her Mills & Boon stories (still have them) I particularly liked were Spindrift and Apollo's Daughter. I think they are good examples of what modern M&B (and Harlequin) authors/readers might think are outside the bounds of the category romance (flawed "alpha" heroes, age differences and .. never mind, I'd love to hear what others thought of them! That I still have them (although my copies were not the first I've owned, nor were they new when I bought them), despite two moves across the world, show something 9probably that most of my moving costs were books *g*).

Yes, as you said she sometime went outside the boundaries of classic romance of her time. Pity she had few years in comparison to other, probably we would had more about her personal life now. Elisa
