How to make Elisa smiles after a very shitty day...

This is one of the few personal entries I post sometime... Today was one of that day to forget (maybe since it's 17?). Anyway it seemed started well, my manager told me that my work in the last two projects went well and they asked to my boss if they can have me for another half year. It's a good news since the project is in Dublin, and I like to travel for work. Then tonight, while I was coming back home I had a very bad car accident: to me less damage, I have a mild concussion on the head, but my car is destroyed and I'm also in the wrong side, so I have to pay also the damage to the other car. I have a few money I was saving for a travel I would like to gift to my mother, and instead I will use it to repair the car.

I was just entering home when again I saw a nice letter addressed to me; since it's not the first time I knew that it was by Katrina Strauss and probably it was her nice new cover... and it was, and she also sent me two postcards this time so when I opened the letter and obviously my mother asked for the postcard, this time I could give it to her... it was almost a tragic drama scene, opening the letter I was crying since all the tension was going on me but I was also smiling for the nice thought from Katrina

All right, enough for this night, and I swear this is only a passing post, I will not make an habit to rant of my problem in this journal...

ETA: I should add this, thank you to all people who wish me good and also other... it was a shitty day and other things happened in the past on the financial side of my life, but as I said, my day work is going well, and I will face also this last event. I wrote the post more as a way to loosen the tension than other, this LJ is a good therapeutical tool for me :-). No worry, in a day or two I will be again of my usual mood. I'm just glad that nothing happened to you. It would have been horrible to lose you. It's sad to have to pay, but it is, in the end, "only" money, You are mostly safe and sound and that is what counts. (also, I hope that my Christmas goodie arrive sin time ... it should have been with you by now :-S)

Yes, you are right, they are only money, and lucky me I have a good work and more or less I can always face this event. When something like this happen, I always thank that boring work that I don't know how, I seem to do well :-) Thank you for the book, I hope it arrives soon, I can't wait to read it. Elisa

A car can be replaced, you can't. I've had whiplash several times, so -- be nice to yourself, and go to a doctor or massage person if you start getting head or neck aches in a week or two. You don't always feel it at first, but the force of any impact bad enough to wreck a car also hit your body...

I still don't know where I hit the head, if on the side window or the wheel, it was so fast. I have a very small cut, almost nothing, on the head and I feel a bit of pain under the hair on the same side, but the neck for now is good. I'm at home the next few days, so if something happen, my mom is with me. Elisa

Si lo so. E' che tra l'altro mia madre l'aveva appena sistemata (aveva fatto un incidente lei in settembre mentre ero negli USA), e quindi ci avevamo già speso un po'... inoltre è vecchiotta sarebbe ora di cambiarla, ma una nuova non la posso proprio prendere. La macchina mi serve per andare a lavoro, per fortuna siamo vicino a Natale e posso lavorare da casa per alcuni giorni, così con le vacanze di Natale ed il resto, il carrozziere dovrebbe sistemarla per l'Epifania... speriamo, domani se la vengono a prendere, non posso neanche portarla io perchè la carrozzeria si è incrinata e tocca sulle ruote davanti :-( Elisa

Ohmygosh! Please please be all right! Our family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, (((((hugs))))) and if you find yourself having any kind of symptoms that even make you think for a second that you have more than a mild concussion please see a doctor! (I dislike going to the doctor too.) Your muscles might stiffen up and you may want to get a massage. Lots of water! So glad you're okay!
