these last weeks had been impossible, and I have the feeling it will never get better, since LJ passed under Russian ownership it has been a mess.

It's interesting that the spammers are coming from the Ukraine i.e. in that part of the globe. I know many spambots are located there anyway, but LJ does seem to have had plenty of problems since its ownership changed.

they are making it a platform to turn profit, i.e. they are making it more commercial, and that means drawing spam.
