Man Candy Day: Sean O'Pry

I know, I know that posting these pictures some of my friends will say that Sean is too feminine, that it's strange to see male models dressed and posed as female models, but from what I know, Sean only follows what the fashion dictates and if the fashion says that a model has to be dressed in furs and flowers, who am I to be against it? And then Sean in furs and flowers is soo cute...

Sean Richard O'Pry (born July 5, 1989) is an American male model from Kennesaw, Georgia who was the face of fashion house Calvin Klein for several seasons and is best known for being GQ's Man of the Season in late 2007.

He is currently the second most successful male model in the world behind Mathias Lauridsen on models.com list of the Top 50 international male models, as of January 2009. In early 2008, he was named the world's eighth most successful male model of all time by Forbes publications. He is best known for his pillowed lips and hooded blue eyes.

In 2006, the 17-year-old O'Pry was discovered from his prom photos on MySpace by Nolé Marin, fashion-editor of ELLE magazine (US). Before his discovery, in April of 2006, Bert Hamilton photographed O'Pry, who he found from Sean's profile on the popular modelling networking site: http://www.modelmayhem.com.

Over two years later, O'Pry has featured in numerous advertising campaigns (Joop S/S 09, H&M S/S 09, Lacoste S/S 09, Giorgio Armani F/W 08, Trussardi F/W 08) and editorials for: Dazed & Confused (Fashion Forward_Dior Homme by Mariano Vivanco), Interview (Paris Nights by Anthony Maule), V Man (Suit Yourself by David Sherry), Numéro Homme (Le Grand Jeu by Greg Kadel), L’Officiel Hommes (Fur’ious by Milan Vukmirovic), GQ Style Russia (Sean by Arnaldo F/W 08 by Arnaldo Anaya Luca), Details Magazine (Graphic Content by David Armstrong).

He was on the cover of GQ Style, Spring/Summer 07, by Phil Poynter, and GQ Style Russia, Fall/Winter 08, by by Arnaldo Anaya Luca. He also appears in ads and editorials for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferré, Marc Jacobs, Dsquared2, American Eagle, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, GQ, Barneys, Belstaff, D2, Arena, and Diesel.

His runway credentials include opening Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Salvatore Ferragamo, and closing Moschino, Trussardi and Zegna.

O'Pry is good friends with fellow models Eddie Klint and Vincent LaCrocq. His interests include football and lacrosse.

MY GOD....!! *lol*
I'm almost speechless.
That first picture is magnificent. What a beautiful and provocative face he has! It's a beuatifully created photo, too.

Dammit, he's the same age as my son *lmao*. Maybe I can get my son to give up dreams of being a rock star and try for top-paid male model. He needs to earn top money so I can give up work :). Though maybe I'm biased, thinking he has the looks for it...

Those pouty lips... mmm... Is your son like Sean? If so, definetely he needs to try the modelling career ;-) Elisa

He really is quite beautiful and his expressions give him the aura of being very "deep".

I believe that this is what allows a model to be so high in the appreciation list from photographers. Elisa

Wow!

That's all I've got :)

Okay, I've recovered :)

He's very striking, and the poses, guh! Particularly like the shot in the leather jacket. It's so angsty!

No one comments on the last one... have you seen that hands? so long and beautiful... Elisa

Do love tha one too. Love the soft focus. And those lips.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 11:46 am (UTC)(link)
Those lips are a forbidden pleasure ;-) Elisa

[identity profile] ashmedai.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
Oh my - I love the Vukmirovic photos. Awesome! :)

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
There are three or four models in that shot and they are one better than the others. The title of the service is "Fur'ios"

[identity profile] valarltd.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
Not having a probvlem at ALL. He's not feminine in features and putting him in fem poses is just hot.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 12:06 pm (UTC)(link)
You are right, with that strong jaw and those hands, it's quite difficult to mistake him for a woman ;-) Elisa

I took the fur picture. That looks inspirational for some future hero.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a really nice shot by Vukmirovic. I already featured another model, always in fur, David Fair. Sometime a photographer is so like to create a memorable shot. Elisa

[identity profile] lee-rowan.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Feminine? Not at all, he's a very pretty man. But he does look kind of vacant in a few of the photos, and that hat in Picture #1 is downright hideous.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmm, I believe that hat in pic 1 is for a woman, but also for a woman I would wonder ;-) Elisa

[identity profile] lee-rowan.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
It looks like an apron my mother had about forty years ago...

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
sometime I wonder on what the fashion dictates... And you can search for your mother's apron, maybe you can wear it! Elisa

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Spolsport ;-) Elisa

[identity profile] tc-blue.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
LOVE the second pic.

Good lord, he's gorgeous... and so very, very young.

God, I feel like an old perv just looking at him. LOL

Wait next week... I have a model that this time could be really my son and I'm 34 years old! Elisa

[identity profile] snowmore.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
He is a beautiful man with fine features. Lovely. Great pictures, Elisa, though, some fashions are questionable, but, then again, most high fashions are beyond what us mere mortals wear. :P

Lovely choice.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
He manages to look pretty even in the more questionable fashion ;-) Elisa

[identity profile] zamaxfield.livejournal.com 2009-05-13 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
What a face. Wow.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-13 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, beautiful eyes and lips. Elisa

[identity profile] zamaxfield.livejournal.com 2009-05-13 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
And freckles, I'm lost. Hopelessly lost.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2009-05-13 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
Sean O'Pry, with a name like that he can't not have freckles ;-) Elisa
