Laura Baumbach (born February 2)

Laura Baumbach is the author of numerous short stories, novellas, novels and screenplays. Her favorite genre to work in is manlove or m/m erotic romances. Manlove is not traditional gay fiction, but erotic romances written specifically for the romantic-minded reader, male or female. She works as an emergency trauma nurse by night and an author by day, with her husband and two sons filling in her free hours.

Laura is the owner of ManLoveRomance Press, a small print publishing house that specializes in gay erotic romance, mystery and fiction. (http://www.mlrpress.com) MLR Press was founded in January of 2007, publishing authors such as Josh Lanyon, author of the Adrien English Mystery series, and Richard Stevenson, author of the Donald Strachey Mystery series. She is also the owner of the promotional co-op for authors of gay romance and fiction, Manloveromance.com. (http://www.manloveromance.com)

"I'm a straight woman who loves to write steamy, explicit, M/M erotic romances. I write about loving, committed relationships between two people who love each other and work hard to make their relationships work. They just happen to be two men. Often times they have to battle social pressures and their own personal demons to make the partnership work. It's not always a smooth ride, but I try to make it sensual, sexy and hot! I love men, and I think two men together loving, living and making a life for themselves to be a very erotic fantasy. Sexy, sweaty, powerful men who are hungry for each other is a turn on for me and I hope for my readers as well!"

Wow, Elisa, I'm stunned and honored to find you chose me for today's spotlight. I'm thrilled, really thrilled you love Bram as much as I do. Bram and James are my 'first' and will always be my true loves! *g* Thank you. You know I adore you and your love of reading, and the genre we both share. I'm humbled by your praise.

Always

It's always such a special moment for me when a reviewer I know and respect highlights an author or publisher I know and respect. And in this case, Elisa, as regards both writer AND publisher, you shine the well-deserved spotlight on my friend, favored author, and magnanimous publisher, Laura Baumbach. She's deserving of all her accolades, but they're genuinely validated, at least in my opinion, when they're delivered by someone, like you, who has so much respect for the written word and who actually takes the time to read a book thoroughly before giving your each and every thoughtful review. Publishing couldn't ask for a more persistent advocate than you, Elisa, or for a more dedicated and excellent writer/publisher than Laura. My Stetson is off, ladies, to the both of you! --William Maltese
