I have to kill my dream

Two days ago I was crying, yesterday I was dying inside and today I began to feel better (thanks also to my friends, real and pen, who are wonderful...)

Unfortunately I have to come to a decision that makes me very sad: I have to give up my share in Cafe au Livre, my dream. It is a very young business and it needs money that I don't have, so to let it live, I have to sell my share to my business partner, who has the money.

But I really fear that my partner will transform it in a mere coffe-restaurant, killing the bookstore. Maybe is better so, cause I really don't want that my dream survive without me (I'm really egoistical, I know, but can't think in other way)

The good news is that I have a good by day work, so no financial problem for me and a lot of spare time in the future to read more and spread the word here in Italy about beautiful novels I read in english...

From today on I change my icon: for now I have chosen a rose blossom, maybe it will bring me fortune, blossom of a new dream...

Hugs

I am sorry that you have had to make this choice, I know your bookstore is very precious to you. I will do my best to write some novels that you will want to read and that will make you smile.

Oh darling - how awful. That's really really sad.

I hope you find something new and lovely to do.

I am so so sorry to hear this :(

but maybe the dream is not dead yet - perhaps you will be able to pick it up again in a future date and learn from this experience.

I hope so - cafe bookshops are like heaven to me and I hope you will be able to start the dream again one day...

I'm sorry to hear that. It is very hard to have your own business, you've already done 5x more than most people... you tried. I hope things work out better for you and you can try again sometime.

How sad for you Elisa. I know how much you loved your cafe book store. You had the courage and strength to chase after your dream. Wishing you all the best in your next endeavor.

Elisa, I'm so sorry to hear that. I've always wanted to do that, to have a bookstore and a little cafe. I hope you have a chance to do something else lovely instead, that makes you happy, too. Good luck.
