Feedback

Every two/three years I need to push people to come out from lurking, also to understand if what I'm doing is good for someone else other than me ;-) so please, this time I'm asking you to comment here and tell me if you read this blog, what you like, what you don't like; do not worry, I'm not stirring polemic, it's a genuine interest in knowing the people reading this journal, cause I know you are out there! Thank you! Elisa

Hi Elisa. I look at your blog each day but dont always comment. I do like reading about the people you high light, seeing what inspirational people there are. It does sadden me when you see the number stricken so early by AIDs

I like the reviews, they're what brought me here. Time is limited so I won't lie about it, I tend to skim read the first few lines of other things before deciding if it interests me.

I'm here

I just discovered your site about a couple of weeks ago. Read it every day.

I come by most days of the week. Your website is rather unique with the people segments, current and past, which I occasionally click on if I recognize someone or someone catches my eye, etc. Mostly, I tend to look at the book reviews, author profiles/interviews, latest releases, contests and book awards.

Sorry, forgot to put down from strive4bst.

I skim through your entries every day. I enjoy the 'It Happened Today' posts and the book cover contests the most, though I also like the book rec posts.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you Addie. The Cover Contest will start soon, I'm rethinking it a little, but in any case, it will go again this year in parallel to the literary contest.

Hi! *waves* I really appreciate the historical info you provide. Thanks! :-)

Thank you Catherine, considering you background as a writer that is a huge compliment. Amazing how many women and men were daring in those times

[identity profile] gaycrow.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I like everything you post, but don't often have time to comment. If I'm busy, I still try to read the real life romances and gay classics, but when I do have time, I'm able to read more. :)

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
thank you, you are actually the ones who comment often and I appreciate that

[identity profile] amaranthink.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I do read your blog most every day. I read some of the book reviews, if they look like something that would interest me and have found some very good ones. I read some of the biographies and find them very interesting but only when they are expanded, i.e. not all consolidated into one summary post.

I read your blog only on LJ. I don't use Dreamwidth at all.

I don't have any suggestions and I very much appreciate the work that you put into the blog. Thank you!

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. If the bio are new, you should find them on your friends page, I only click on "do not post on friends page" for the ones that are a refreshing of already posted which I renew. The summary post instead collects all of them, so that, if you missed one, I link them from it. I do not want to overwhelm my friends reading page, so I tried to find a compromise ;-) Elisa

I love this journal! I read it voraciously and, many times, purchase eBooks based on your recommendations. I'm sure my husband would love me to stop reading and save money. ;)

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL yes, I'm a pusher and you are now addicted, only that there isn't an AA you can attend for it

[identity profile] hawk-soaring.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
I think I am very happy for that lack. ;)

[identity profile] pet0511.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi,
Whenever I go to my LJ I look at your entries of the day. I read through everything that looks interesting, whether it's about persons/couples or book recommendations. I don't want to miss any of them anymore, it's like reading the daily calendar page on the wall - not sure if you know what I mean. And I bought quite a few books and learned to know quite a few authors due to your posts in the relatively short time since I found you.
I'm also happy every time I see an older review on GR!
Your posts are precious and I can't say thank you enough. Every time I wonder how you manage to get all these informations together, it must be a full time job.
I hope you'll continue....:-)
Thanks so much,
Pet

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-02 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish it was a full time job, but unfortunately I cannot live of that, but yes, it's a great share of my life. And I really love it.

[identity profile] engarian.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Hello my dear. I read your blog and posts along with one or two others first before all others. I've found wonderful books through your site, and have had the opportunity to discover really interesting people in your "This Day" segments. When you attend the Rainbow Awards I always enjoy the opportunity to see some of my favorite authors pictured. To put it briefly - I love you and your daily posts.

Oh thank you. The best feedback is to know I was a mean for people to find books they liked, and it's nice to know I'm a pleasant daily appointment

[identity profile] bodleian.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
I read your blog regularly. I am particularly interested in the books that you review. I also find the films interesting and I do from time to time check out what you have to say about famous gays and couples.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
the movies... sometime I browse the net to see if there is something new I'd like to see, but there are very few romantic comedy nowadays (my favorite) and I tend to not go for the drama... need to review some more of them.

[identity profile] nerthus.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
I know I should comment more; I do love your posts and all the book recs and biographies. I've learned some fascinating things about LGBT people down through history!

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
it's amazing how many "hidden" names you can know about just digging a bit

[identity profile] evila-elf.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hiya :) I skim things every week or so. Mainly the people if it is someone I have heard about. But I love hearing about upcoming books...not that I need more for my To Read lists lol

that

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh that is good, I will soon start something that will give you even more info on upcoming books!

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I love the daily snippets about LGBT people.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
that was my 2014 novelty, glad you like it

[identity profile] jkivela.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I read/watch. Book reviews are very interesting. I enjoy the cover posts also. The bios are sort of interesting, if I know the person they are about a head of time. I generally don't take the time to read up on the others (I'm sorry to say). I also tend to skip over the "Happened Today" posts.

No complaints, just my reading habits on your blog. More a discussion on me than on you. :)

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
that is fine, it's good you can find what interests you and skip what doesn't. Elisa

[identity profile] elin-gregory.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I really enjoy your book reviews, but like the bios too. I really should comment more often to show my appreciation.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-03 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
That is fine Elin, as I said, I know people is there, but once in a while I like to know the journal is going in the right direction ;-)

[identity profile] i-o-r-h-a-e-l.livejournal.com 2014-03-04 10:00 am (UTC)(link)
You've done a lot for LGBT world. Thank you so much for everything, Elisa!

Thank to you for reading.

[identity profile] tizi17.livejournal.com 2014-03-04 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
oh my.. where to begin what i like about what you do? ;-)
the bios, the books, the pictures...
thank you, justthank you for everything and please keep going, it's my daily bread...

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-04 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
Daily bread, that is a very nice way to put it

[identity profile] elizaben.livejournal.com 2014-03-04 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I skim everything you post and read whatever catches my eye. Most interesting I find the real life stories and the historical information though I mostly read the book recs. Oh, and I loooove the eye candy.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-04 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
eye candy :-) I need to post one Dylan sent me...

[identity profile] elizaben.livejournal.com 2014-03-05 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Eye candy is like dessert. No matter how much you've eaten or how little time you have, you always have place and time for dessert.

Or it's just me.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-05 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
not only you, no ;-)

[identity profile] redqueen13.livejournal.com 2014-03-05 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
I read your blog! Love the info you provide on LGBT figures and you are a go-to resource for me for reviews. I have discovered some enjoyable reads because of your recommendations.

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-05 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
thank you, I don't review much lately but I try to pick the ones catching my interest.

[identity profile] elena-62.livejournal.com 2014-03-12 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
Cara Elisa, your blog is incredibly rich and interesting. My trouble is that I don't manage to follow it properly because of lack of time. I feel guilty for not leaving comments more often.

Thank you for your contribution to the LGBT cause and to the book genre!

Ciao

Antonella

[identity profile] elisa-rolle.livejournal.com 2014-03-12 12:13 pm (UTC)(link)
do not worry Antonella, as I said, I just want to know, sometime, if I'm leading the right way ;-)
