reviews_and_ramblings | California Day 4: Pacific Highway, Nojoqui Falls, Solvang & Santa Barbara

Today was the real first day of my road trip. We took the car and headed north on the Pacific Highway. As expected, soon after leaving Malibu, the coast was beautiful and we found also a group of surfer (I made the good pics with my reflex camera, so sorry, you will have to wait for them). Then we decided to pass Santa Barbara to go first to the Nojoqui Falls... a beautiful walk but unfortunately the falls were dry! After passing a true "danish" tourist trap, Solvang, we took and old road to return to Santa Barbara, passing through a National Park. Finally we arrived in Santa Barbara, and first I visited the Mission of Santa Barbara: I'm not a very religious person, but I have a passion for cloister. The end of the trip was a walk through Santa Barbara main lane (where there was a Farmer's Market and some really interesting specimen...) to the the pier, really "old style" and and with a nice pelican who was so available for the pics of all the tourists around (almost like the guy on the bench...)
