East Coast Day 3: Princeton, Yale & Mystic

Probably I don't know something, but why there were so many people on the road today? I know that tomorrow is Labor Day, but why people were moving today? We spent most of the time in line, especially in and out New York (state not city) and near New Haven... Anyway, in the morning we visited Princeton, and I really like both the University than the forest around. It has the feeling of a little thriving community. Yale University instead is really big, maybe a bit too much for my taste, but the neo gothic architecture is really nice. We arrive at Mystic too late to visit the open air museum of Seaport, but the little town near was still full. We manage to eat in the very kitch but very funny Mystic Pizza place, and that is not an Italian Pizza, but it wasn't bad.

I am vicariously enjoying your travels along the East Coast. Your photos are wonderful. You have a great ability to select what is native to a particular city and display it. When you described Philadelphians as kind I smiled. We are not used to hearing others say such nice words.

One of the things about Labor Day holiday is that many people travel home from their vacations on the Sunday before. After Labor Day Monday, all summer fun and games are over, so people try to be home on that last day to cook out and picnic with neighbors, friends and family. Sort of a bittersweet last hurrah for summer.

Thank you. I look more at the details than the whole, I took pictures of what catch my eyes. Many time you can't say what it's LOL. I enjoyed very much Philadelphia and also my friend did. She wants to come back sooner. Elisa
