Around the World: Moscow

So here is the reason why you will not see me much for the following month. I'm in Moscow for work, and I'm busy all the working days till late at night. Plus I have limited internet connection. But I still managed to visit a bit Saturday morning: here are some pictures. And this morning, when I awoke, there was also the snow... hope it will remain till next weekend when maybe I will time to visit again.

Your photographs of your travels continually astound me, Elisa. The clarity, the composition, the lighting—amazing. The third picture in this set inspires me to write something grandly melancholy. The perspective view of the fifth and final photograph in this set is nothing short of brilliant.

You should seriously consider compiling your photographs for publication, Elisa. One of those giant, oversized volumes with vivid color on shiny glossy pages that we here in the States call "coffee table books."

Thank you Jaye, your words makes my pictures looks better ;-) I don't know, maybe in a far away future, I will consider to let it go my baby pictures for an audience wider than my friends. Elisa

I second Jaye. With LuLu.com, you could make a photo book. It's dead easy. :)

LOL, I'm far from considering that ;-) But maybe in the future. Elisa

The last picture, even if you can't believe it, it's a subway station. Elisa

Beautiful pictures. I envy you. What a time to be there...I had two years of Russian language in college and was scared of going there at the time of the Soviets. Glad you won't have to worry about that but watch it anyway...Dosvedaniya tovarish!

There is still quite a strange atmosphere, but all in all it's a nice place to be. Elisa

Now it's 9 in the evenining and I'm still at work, so I don't know if you should envy me much, but yes, I'm having a nice time, even if I'm very tired also. Elisa

I agree with Jaye Valentine, a coffee table book would be super! Your perspective is so good and unique (I know this because I don't have it) that is would be a crime not to share it. Yes, that website mentioned would be a good place to try it out and see what kind of feedback you get. It is so unusual for an ordinary person to get such quality! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Sally. My father was a photographer and he was my first "professor" but also the only one. I still use his camera sometime, even if he died more than 15 years ago and his camera is 35 years old... probably my pictures are good since they are a product of love in someway. Elisa

Beautiful images. You have The Eye for sure.

BTW, I'm Jane Bled, yaoi author. Thank you for friending me. I'm looking forward to your posts!

Ciao Jane ;-) As you read here for the next month I will be not frequently online, but I hope to be back at my usual online habit in December. Elisa
