Feast of the Flesh by A.D. Christopher

Padraig and Caradoc were lovers in the ancient Britain. Padraig as priest and Caradoc as the river god Padraig worshipped. But christianity demands that all the men worshipped only a god and if priests refuse to do so, pain and suffer will bring to their village. So Padraig denied his god and lover with words, but his heart remained true. But Caradoc was banned cause the betrayal and suffers centuies of exile.

Now on the Samahin night of a post-apocalitc world, Caradoc is back to take his vengeance on the reincarnated soul of Padraig. Patrick is a twenty five years old survivor, who feels a strong connection with this man he approaches on Samhain night. But now he will be strong enough to not betray Caradoc again?

A brief novel with some interesting points. The setting is pratically no existent: it could be a post apocalitic world like our ages, like the past. All you read is about Caradoc and Patrick. The sex is very explicit and graphic, very detailed and almost all the book. Is not bad: if you want to read some very sexy scenes, you have your book. But I can feel something more under it, and will be glad to read a novel longer and with a more complete plot by this author.

Elisa, you asked about other authors that are getting comic books/manga releases. I just stumbled across one on Amazon - "Dark Hunger" by Christine Feehan is set in her Carpathian series and is a graphic novel of her short story that appeared in the "Hot Blooded" anthology. It has bad reviews, but I think that is because buyers thought it was a regular novel. Anyway, it's one more to add to your list. Jem

I know I know. It's for this release that I have thought to the post: Feehan is one of my keepers, I love the Carpathian. If you want a pick to my post here is the draft

I will post it next week. Thank you very much for the help.

Did you like this manga, then? I added it to my wishlist but none of the reviewers commented on the quality of the art or story. They were all ticked it wasn't a novel - which I can understand if you weren't expecting it. J'

I didn't read it yet. It's out only this month. But I'm not sure if I will buy it. I love the romance novel that inspire the story and I have also the book. Don't know if I'd appreciate the manga. I think I prefer a real manga, better a yaoi manga! elisa

I love yaoi! I'm so glad you discovered you like it as well. But, I enjoy the Anita comics so I'm not sure if I want to get this one. I don't read the Carpathian series anyway (don't want to get involved in another series to collect) so I'll have to think on it.

Check out allromanceebooks.com. It's a great way to find e-books (including M/M) across multiple publishers. Now if only they had a wishlist feature!

I read your draft for the managa story. Looks good! Couple comments: Dark Hunter at the top should say Drak Hunger (so as not to confuse fans of Kenyon's Dark Hunter series which sadly isn't being made a comic). Also, DBPro has already broken from Marvel. Marvel will continue to distribute Anita Blake, but the new comics will be strictly DB from what I understand. I have a picture from the Avalon comic if you want to use it instead of the book cover. Lastly, you might want to mention Jane Lindskold's Wolf Series is coming to comics as well. *smiles*

I read in her site that the contract is not sign yet and she doesn't know when, so I prefer not to mention it

thanks, elisa

I'll send the pic as soon as I get home (as I don't have it here at work). I just posted about comics adapted from books if you want to check it out. I need to add the Avalon pic as well. I mentioned Lindskold, hopefully it will come through.
