Interesting--there's no 'emotional messiness' question on the one I pulled up, and the answers were very either/or - a lot of the time I would have answered 'both' or 'neither.' For instance, Talking about the weather usually is (a) a waste of time, but it is also (b) a good ice-breaker. (Or is that why they call us 'two-souls' people...?)
