Seraphina is an former missionary widow who wants to open a school music in the wrong side of the town. Tomas is a spanish-american self-made construction firm owner who wants to pull down the mansion where Sera wants to open her school. But when Sera, thirty one years old virgin (her missionary dead husband was only a name husband...), meets Tomas, twenty five latino lover with a reputation of womanizer not always deserved, their projects change.
Tomas asks Sera to marry him and to introduce him to the up society. In exchange Sera wants her school and wants... sex. But Tomas wants something more from his wife, even if he thinks he isn't good enough for her: she is so cultured and delicate, she sure doesn't want a rough latino lover like him as husband.
Another book I was expecting more erotic and less romantic, and instead it is a over romantic love story with a male character who cries: Tomas is a man you wants to hug.
