Torsten is a classical piano player and Vincenzo a tenore. They are leading to Vienna to perform in a festival. They have never met before but Torsten has heard all about the sexual adventures of the young tenore. He seems to change lover as he changes scenes and Torsten has no intention to be one more in the list.

But their plane is hijacked and Torsten and Vincenzo locked together. So Torsten has the chance to meet the real Vincenzo, the scared one, of the actual situation but also of the outside world who never sees the real lonely child now adult. And then Torsten tries to protect Vincenzo from an attempting rape and gets fired. Even more near, Torsten and Vincenzo can only hope to escape the situation to have a chance to live their love for real.

A very sedate short novel. Despite the argument and the ipothetical "bad" reputation of Vincenzo, in this short novel you will find less sex and more old fashion wooing. Torsten treats Vincenzo like a damsel in distress of one of the opera dramas. Fortunately the end of this story is not so tragic like that of an opera: usually first dies the hero and then the heroine...

From an opera lover as I am I have to make two annotation: usaully tenore singer are really strong and impressive (for not say fat) and instead Vincenzo is described as a lean and fragile boy. And second, I have heard of rumor of a famous gay opera singer, but he has never made outing, instead he has had for years a soprano as "dear friend"... I think the opera world is not yet open to that.
