Barely Undercover by Sedonia Guillone

The last by Sedonia Guillone is pure hot sex! I was uncertain when I read the blurb cause I'm not very fond of detective stories, usually they have too much violence in it, but I know well Sedonia Guillone's works and I like it. So I was willing to give it a try and then it is pretty short, 70 pages, so I thought, I can read it easily in one night.

But only after few pages I was totally involved. True the starting point is the need of Frank Kazaminsky, Kaz, a police detective to go undercover in a male strip club posing as stripper. And since he doesn't know nothing about how to strip in public, he has to ask help to Damien, his former lover, who at the beginning of their relationship, was a stripper in the same club to pay his tuition fees. But unfortunately he has dump Damien without a word six months before after a relationship lasting 13 years, and maybe Damien would be not so happy to see him again.

Instead Damien is very happy to see Kaz. Even if he is deadly angry with him to leave, he still desires him very much and maybe, he thinks to have made something to drive Kaz away. So after some embarassing moments, Kaz has to unveal his segret: he has some hearth troubles and doesn't want to be an half partner for his lover. But obviously this is not a reason for Damien to let Kaz slip away, giving that he is his first and only lover.

So I'm satisfying with this book cause most of it is about Kaz and Damien and their reborning relationship and the suspence story is on the background. It is only an excuse to let us know these characters and sympatize with Damien, who really is a sweet guy (very very sweet and with a deeply need for his lover) and criticize Kaz, who has hadn't trust in Damien.

The story is also stretches in only two days, so we have only a glimpse in the lifes of the two, and some flashback of their past life together, but I think that Sedonia Guillone has given us all what is needing in a fast and erotic "before sleep" reading.

What Worse Place Can I Beg in Your Love by Syd McGinley

This is a very "difficult" tale, if you have problem with D/S arguments or with pleasure/pain games you could miss it. But I pick it up cause I have a kink, I like to read of couple of different height tall (I know, it's a very lame reason to pick up a story, but guys, everyone has his kink!) and i read in the blurb that one of the main character is an alien of seven foot tall, so I was allured by that.

The story is a first person tale, so we never know the name of the human character. We only know that he is a submissive by nature, dumped by his former partner cause he is too submissive! and to forget he has joined a spaceship as cartographer. On an alien planet, they are captured by the aliens and he and another man were thrown in a cell together. After sometime our character is put in a cell alone and then "bought" by an alien Master. He is treated like a pet by his new master, living in a cage or curling to his feet, but his nature craves sexual attention and one day he pass the boundaries between Master and pet and makes a move on his Master. The output of that move is that now our character is trained not only like pet companionship but also like sex toy. He will be no more for his Master than a pet, he even doesn't understand his words but only his hand signs, but he will grow fondl of his Master.

I have read other tales about Master/pet relationship between alien and human (Nix Winter and Illian Obsidian for example) but this is the first time that the author doesn't give us the sweetener of the alien who in the end behaves like a human and the happily ever after in "human" way of think. And this is the force of this tale (very short, less than 35 pages but very original): here you will find the Master/pet relationship push to its limits and you will be not reassured by a top from the bottom victory... but if I can tell you that I was enthralled from the very first pages and read it in a flash and not be disppapointed at all when I reached the end.
