All I Want for Christmas by Sage Whistler

Jacy is on an ending relationship with his wife. An half Native American and half Mexican small town vet, he is content with his life and his practice, but this seems not to be enough for his wife. She has trapped him in a marriage with a fake pregnancy, but he has forgiven her and tried to move on with their marriage. But now, three years later, their life is fill of tension and everything is a reason to break it.

And maybe the reason could be Daniel. Daniel is a sweet gay guy who works for Jacy since nine years, first as volunteer during his teen years, and now as part time college student. Daniel is in love with Jacy, but bot Daniel than Jacy have too much respect for the marriage's vows to do something to break them. But now Daniel is badly injured, being beaten outside a bar, and having no family, only Jacy can give him a place to recover. Living together unveals a lot of things that Daniel has consciously avoided and Jacy has unconsciously buried. But when Jacy's wife makes them the favour to cheat on Jacy and to be discover doing it, nothing could prevent Jacy from reach for the joy he has so near.

All I Want for Christmas is a smoothly romance. There is a bit of angst, but not too much, a bit of funny, but not too much, a bit of sex, but not too much. It's a carefully weighted plot, with two interesting characters (I have always had a soft point for Native American character with long black hair...) of a right lenght (less than 100 pages). I have only a complaint: I have the feeling that the story was abruptly interrupted; after Jacy and Daniel first sex scene, I was expecting some development of the trouble that thier relationship could provoke...

From a female point of view, you will not feel bad for Jacy's wife, Marissa, cause she is really a bitch: from the first scene, when she was arguing with Jacy, while he is ironing his own shirt... How could a woman argues with a man who is ironing his shirts?
