Elizabeth Stuart was a RITA Winner in 1991 for her second book, Where Love Dwells, and a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award Winner in 1988-1989. Her last published work, Bride of the Lion, won the Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award in 1995. All these awards in a career of five years and five books.

After this, Elizabeth Stuart, Libby for her friends, had problems with deadlines because of the fact that she had preemie twins and then a third child only a year later.

She was just getting back to form when her daughter was diagnosed with brittle diabetes. St. Martin in their infinite wisdom (considering Elizabeth is a RITA winner) decided they didn't want to wait around for her.

Elizabeth had to stop writing after her sudden three children and the diabetes diagnosis of her daughter. Finally, though, Libby is beginning to write again: the kids are getting older and more self reliant.

I was uncertain… I have some good stories, but then I have also some good looking men with few bio notes… What should I do? Story or Stud? Well, you can't never said that Elisa doesn’t make the right choice! And so here for you Kent (that is absolutely a stud! story next week, and be ready, it's a very good story!):

Kent Edwards is a personal trainer, model and actor of African American, white and Native American origins from Lynchburg, VA. He is also the one to bring Edwing D'Angelo’s 2008 Love Eclipse line for men to life, in a provocative transformation see through the lens of Ricardo Muniz.

Kent has a girlfriend who he loves very much and has also a wonderful relationship with his family, especially his mother and father. Actually, I found more info on Kent’s father, David Edwards, who inherited his love for music from his parents, who hailed from Appalachian southwest Virginia where music flows throughout work, worship, fun… all of life. Following his two great loves, spirituality and music, David has created songs with religious themes and songs that celebrate the sacredness of all life… Writing and performing became a second vocation as David entered seminary and afterwards began serving as a minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). David is minister of the Church of the Covenant, a congregation of the United Church of Christ/Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), in Lynchburg.

Bitter Love is a vampire story with a funny side. Amaretto is a two hundreds years old vampire with a conduct code: he never kills, he never sucks blood if not allowed and he doesn't commit. Being half-white and half-black (he said not African American, so I guess), he learnt earlier in his life what it means being different, and now that he is a vampire he is even more estranged from people than before. His sire was Henri, the ancient vampire featured in Currents, and Henri taught him that he can be a vampire without killing people; more he can bring pleasure to his lovers, and this is what he exactly does. Amaretto is a very good looking guy and he has also an easy and friendly behavior, he still remains in good relationship with all his past lovers... and they are a lot.

Leif is a wanna-be vampire slayer; his former lover Jack was killed by a vampire and so now Leif he has charged himself of the duty of killing all the vampires he can. But he taught himself through libraries and legends and so he really doesn't know nothing on how to kill a vampire, and instead he is easy prey for them. Amaretto takes sympathy on him and decides to help the man... the fact that Leif has angelic features and that he stirs every Amaretto sexual instinct it's only a bonus...

As I said, even if the story deals with murders and vampires, it has not an angst leit motiv. Amaretto is like many others clubbing animals, who prey on the "innocent" who want to be caught. He only goes after the ones who are clearly willing to be temporary donor, and only after they have agreed. The fact that Amaretto asks for blood, makes him a vampire, but if he asked only for sex, he would be like our usual womanizer or man eater. But I repeat, he is not a bad guy, he was only taught in the past to not trust love.

Leif is a bit naive. Of both vampires and men, apparently. And he is also a man easy to fall for a good looking guy like Amaretto, ready to overpass the "little" fact that he is a vampire, and so the very man he should kill. But killing a so beautiful creature would be a waste, better take him and never let him go! Joke apart, all this to say that Leif is not the usual cool and cold minded vampire killer, he is too emotional and good hearted to be. And so he needs the help of Amaretto, and he is ready to accept it when offered.

Bitter Love is an enjoyable and easy reading, not too complex but funny.
