California Day 10: Mission District & Castro

Probably you can leave San Francisco without seeing Mission Dolores, but since all started here, when the mission was still named Mission San Francesco d'Assisi, why not seeing also this little mission than now is almost overwhelmed by an huge basilica? The mission is in Mission District a neighbor near Castro. Between Mission and Castro there is Noe Valley, a cute little neighbor with beautiful colorful houses. And then there is Castro, that on a Monday morning was full of life and color. All in all I believe that this part of the city is still mostly free from the tourist traps, and you can see the original San Francisco residents...
