No, don't worry, I'm not yet a vampire... even if with all the feeds I'm doing around, I'm maybe on the right path :-) Anyway, have you ever seen my friends page? Other than fabulous LJ friends (and not I'm not petting you!), I have the feeds on a lot of blogs, on fashion, models, art... everytime I find an interesting blog I feed it.

Tonight, making the research for a bio model (yes, I make a lot of research for my Men Candy, I not only post a pretty face or body, I'd like also to give a story to the face...), I stumbled upon an interesting blog... All right, it was interesting since it had a lot of naked men pics! But, anyway, the blogger seemed an interesting guy, he has a lot of poll on interesting guys, and the last post was a funny joke with a nice comic, and so I though "why not? feed him!".

And what it's just appears on my friends page? He just posted about how he has probably met the ONE, Mr. Right, the True Love... how cute... I'm still smiling. He wrote how they met, how they went to dinner, how they talked and discovered that they have a lot in common, how they planned to see again... how cute... I LIKE this guy! And not in that way, but a guy who wrote a post on love at first sight... I can't not like him!

I just added a new post to the "Chatting with" series on "Rosa is for Romance".

Madeline Hunter: Drop-Dead-Good-Looking Heroes

"In my novels the heroes are always drop-dead-good-looking. That is an American way of saying a man is so handsome that women could drop dead from the shock of seeing his magnificence. Sexy, charismatic, and handsome as sin. The kind of man who makes your heart rise to your throat and you can't talk. You just stare, struck dumb while the world swirls around you. (If this has never happened to you, if you always remain cool and collected no matter how amazing a man looks, feel free to post and let us know where you got your immunization vaccine.)

Madeline Hunter"

This book is really strange. It's a mix of myth, paranormal and erotica. Big Tom is the Orca King, a shape-shifter whale of the Native American mythology. In his human form, Big Tom is a big Native American man of middle age. He lives in the Orcas Island, beloved by the residents who know him as the old Orca King. But Big Tom cannot shift no more; apparently he has misused his sexual prowess: Big Tom could heal through sex and at the same time gain energy to shift, and shifting he heals also the nature around him. Only that Big Tom loved too much his particularly power, and he has "healed" too much women. Now he is castigated, and he can't reach orgasm with a woman, and so he can't shift. Due to his incapacity to shift, the Orcas Island are suffering, and tourism and local business are in trouble.

Then Big Tom meets Devon de la Cruz, an mixed blood of Jamaican, Spanish, French and probably some other heritage. Devon is openly gay and openly attracted by Big Tom. And Big Tom "reacts" to Devon in a way he only has for a woman in the past. Big Tom has not so many problem to accept his feelings, better urges, toward Devon, I believe that for him, women, men, are all the same, if he can scratch his itch... But a cosmic justice is upon him, and Big Tom has to suffer its punishment.

There is a bit of chaos in this novel, a mix of horny middle age men with young studs almost in season, melting together with mythological matings... Truth be told, I didn't like very much the brief male/female sex scene I had to read, for me it was superfluous, not since I didn't like the scene in itself, but since I really don't understand what was the meaning of that. And then also Big Tom's reason to love Devon are quite obscure. I understood very well the first part of the book, in a way I understood also Big Tom's reason to be attracted by Devon (why not? he is young, handsome, and available), but then the book descends on a paranormal level that left me a bit disconcerted... Probably for me it would be better if the novel remained to a most "ordinary" level, with some hint of paranormal events. One or two good sex scene between two male who feel attraction, even maybe one in semi-shifted form if you like.

On the other hand, maybe the novel has more power and originality in this way, since if it remained only contemporary M/M romance with a switch it would be like a lot of other books around. I don't know... maybe you need to read by yourself and make your own judgment.

I have always liked the myth of succubi and incubi: if you have to die, what best way there is than due to too much sex? A succubus is a female demon who sucks your life during sex, and incubus is the male version. Usually they come by night in your dream, and the victim doesn't realize during the orgasm that he is dying. As I said, good way.

But Duncan is a strange incubus; he has a lover, a man he apparently loves, and he tried two time in the past to save his life. The third time he is not so lucky, and even if he brings the man to Pete, an ER doctor with an irreproachable record of no lost patients, this time he doesn't manage to save the man. Duncan is lost in his pain and he latches to Pete.

Pete is a sharp man; in his line of work he sees the most horrible things, and to do at best his work, he has long ago decided to not being involved at a personal level. So his day as careless gay man are far away in the past and he has no time for Duncan, even more since the man arises in him not only desire but also fear and a wish to run away as soon as possible. But the lure of an incubus is strong, and then this incubus in particular is a very handsome and big (in all the important thing...) man, and making sex with him puts Pete to sleep due to exhaustion, and sleeping is something that always avoided Pete in the past... Duncan is better than a sleeping pill and more pleasurable.

As you can notice, I took more in the funny side of the story, than in its apparently demoniac side. Even if there is a sad death at the beginning of the book, Duncan's previous partner, since we don't know him, and what we know about him is not so sparkling, I feel very little for him and don't regret too much his departure. More interesting are Pete's attempts to drive back Duncan, and Duncan easy and sexy prowl for a new lover.

There is also a little cameo sex scene with a female succubus, but don't worry, her involvement is very marginal, and almost irrelevant: and how could not be so, when Pete has finally Duncan naked in a bed, how could he give any attention to a woman? (am I a little acid in this last comment? :-) )

All right, sometime I'm fascinated by ethereal looking guys in black and white pictures, and sometime I stumble accross two hot looking guys and I can only raise my hand and say "I surrender!". The photos below are outrageous, excessive and sexy as hell! Be warned, absolutely not work safe.

Photographer Justin Monroe realized his photo booth fantasy for his latest successful book Down The Rabbit Hole, having his models Vincent and Mitchell really heating things up.

21 Years old Vincent Palazzolo (red swimsuit above, the one with the very delectable... ehm, well it's obvious isn't it?) from Bainbridge Island and now Los Angeles’ resident, is an acrobat. He is also one lucky guy, because he got the chance to work with the talented Los Angeles based photographer, and because this project paired him with the equally hot Mitchell. But that was not really a coincident. Vincent explains: "I met Justing after reaching out to him over email when I saw Nic Haas' (on the cover of the book) photos from Justin. I most willingly offered my services as an acrobat to any of his up and coming projects. To my extreme surprise Justin mailed me back almost instantly. He invited me to do the 'Down the Rabbit Hole' shoot with Jessica Rabbit (Alice) and Dwain (the black bunny). After that shoot I told Justin I had to shoot with him again with this particular boy, Mitch, whom I found so handsome. So Justin being a good friend, and his extreme love for a beautiful back side, said we should shoot an 'In the Photo booth' story. It was really cool to shoot with Justin this time because he made it so comfortable to tell this story and have nothing on. And the company of Mitch wasn't bad either."

Vincent Palazzolo works as acrobat in several clubs in West Hollywood; he also owns Vertigo Posse, an aerial acrobat company specialized in innovative Entertainment. Company directors Benn Mendoza and Vincent Palazzolo have over two decades of combined experience as athletes and artists, with training and performing backgrounds in Theatrical Circus Arts, Gymnastics (Artistic and Rhythmic), Ballroom Dance, Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop.

“It’s funny how lately me and about me doesn't seem so important. I even have a difficult time writing "I." I believe about me is about us, a we, a team, a family, a bigger picture. I believe I should not be standing, I am amazed what I can survive. I am amazed how beautiful my friends and family are. I am so proud to be part of all of their lives. To anyone who has ever told me "you are amazing" I appreciate that, but meet my friends first, you may understand me better :)”

I didn't find much about Mitchell on the net, and it's a really shame!
