Wendy Haley, who published romance and suspence novel also under the pen name of Wendy Garrett, was probably also the ghost writer for some of the Fear Street vampire horror young adult novels by R.L. Stine. For sure she is “credited” in the inside cover of House of Whispers (1996) and Daughters of Silence (1997).

No many other info on her, on the net.

First Book - Sweet Southern Caress (1991)

Last Book – Friend of Flamingo? (1998) as Wendy Haley

Linda wrote five romantic comedy for Silhouette Romance and Yours Truly lines as Linda Lewis, and two time-travel romances for Zebra Romance as Linda Kay. She is also known as Dixie Kane and her real name was Linda Kay West. Regardless of which name she was writing under, Linda never disappointed her readers. She was a Golden Heart Finalist, a RITA® Finalist and a National Reader's Choice Finalist. In addition, she served on the board of Novelists, Inc.

Linda Lewis graduated from the Southern Methodist University Law School. She served as an assistant U.S. Attorney, an assistant District Attorney, and a tax court litigator. A retired attorney, she lived on the North Shore of Lake Ponchartrain, across the Causeway Bridge from New Orleans. Linda was a member of Romance Writers of America, Novelists, Inc., The Authors Guild and Crescent City Writers.

On March 1, 2004, Linda Kay West lost her battle with cancer. A native of Hamilton, Texas, Linda called New Orleans her home and it was in New Orleans where she began her writing career while working as an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service.

Linda was smart and talented and witty—which was apparent to anyone who met her or read even one of her books. In addition to being warm, friendly and generous to a fault, Linda was brave—not only during her battle with cancer, but also throughout her life. She became a lawyer when few women were embarking on such a profession. Tales of her exploits as both a criminal attorney in Chicago and as an attorney in New Orleans for the IRS would have been bestsellers had they ever found their way into her books.

West passed away on March 1, 2004, and in her memory, the Southern Louisiana Chapter of the Romance Writers of America established the Dixie Kane Memorial Contest. The contest was put on hold when Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana. It has recently resumed. (by her friend, MIRA & Silhouette author Metsy Hingle)

First Book - We Love Only Older Boys (1988)

As an author for Harlequin Romance, Elizabeth Gilzean published thirteen novels. Her work was primarily focused on the very popular Doctor/Nurse romances. She wrote primarily in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Born in 1913, she also wrote under the pseudonyms Elizabeth Houghton and Mary Hunton. Her real name may have been Houghton Blanchet, though some sources cite Gilzean as her real name. As an author for Harlequin Romance, Elizabeth Houghton published ten novels. As an author for Harlequin Romance, Mary Hunton published three novels.

She was the daughter of Muriel Liffiton. While to many Muriel Liffiton is known only as M. Wylie Blanchet or as Muriel Blanchet, on May 2, 1891, in Montreal, Canada, she was born Muriel Wylie Liffiton. However, she wrote under her married name, having married Geoffrey Orme Blanchet in 1909. So it has been as M. Wylie Blanchet that she has earned a place in Canadian literature as the author of The Curve of Time, an unusual book of travel and adventure.

Pure, Hot Sin by H.C. Brown

Pure, Hot Sin is set in the same universe of another novella by H.C. Brown, Delicious, an alternative reality where shapeshifters, elves, fairies and other magic creatures live together in peace and harmony, or at least most of the time.

There is no the concept of gay, lesbian and heterosexual, everyone lives accordingly to their desires, the important thing is to not harm your neighbour. Basically this is a free-sex community, where exclusivity is not a moral issue. The author did a good job in planning and rendering the atmosphere, and also the total lack of prudery, and that is the reason why, as in the previous novella, the human who stumbles into this new world is a little disoriented, and not sure to like it so much.

Ashrin is a pride male, a shapeshifter cat, and he lured Leo into his world since he recognized in him his soul mate; Leo is not so happy of the situation, first he doesn’t like the idea to not being able to go back home, and second, he doesn’t like the concept of sex as recreational activity. In a way I’m a little like Leo, true in the end Leo will find his place in Ashrin’s world, and will arrive to appreciate the freedom, but still, I remain a monogamous animal. But remember that indeed feline in general are not like that, and living in pack, sharing everything from food, to children, to lovers, is normal and welcomed.

The Vampire's Assistant by Stormy Glenn

As usual this novella by Stormy Glenn is pretty much about soul mates finding each other and being happy together as soon as they exchange the first glance. Jon is a young man with a fresh degree in hand and a dear need of a job; he is probably not suited for the job of personal assistant of the wealthy businessman Nikolas Vaile, but he is applying to everything he finds. For sure he doesn’t expect to end the job interview in bed with Nikolas; or to find out that Nikolas is a vampire and that Jon is his fated mate.

Once Nikolas meets Jon there is nothing much Jon can do to avoid being involved with the ancient vampire; actually neither Nikolas has much choice, basically he looses his mind and mates with Jon without really realizing it. And once they are mated, Nikolas turns in a over-protective “husband” who doesn’t want for his mate to be out of his eyes; actually the position of personal assistant can be a good one, in this way Jon can have the illusion to not being a kept man and Nikolas has the excuse to have him around night and day.

This is only a novella, so there is not much time to develop the story, but I think it would be interesting to see an aftermath of this idea, mixing paranormal romance with office affairs, it gives a glimpse into the day-to-day (or better night-to-night) routing of your “typical” vampire.
