Andrew Neale & Lord Arthur Somerset

Major Lord Henry Arthur George Somerset DL (17 November 1851 – 26 May 1926) was the third son of the 8th Duke of Beaufort and his wife, the former Lady Georgiana Curzon. He was head of the stables of the future King Edward VII (then Prince of Wales) and a Major in the Royal Horse Guards.

He was linked with the Cleveland Street scandal, wherein he was identified and named by several male prostitutes as a customer of their services. He was interviewed by police on 7 August 1889; although the record of the interview has not survived, it resulted in a report being made by the Attorney-General, Solicitor-General and Director of Prosecutions urging that proceedings should be taken against him under section 11 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act 1885. A piece of paper was pasted over Somerset's name in the report, as it was deemed so sensitive. However, the Director was told that the Home Secretary wished him to take no action for the moment. The police obtained a further statement implicating Somerset, while Somerset arranged for his solicitor to act in the defence of the boys arrested over the scandal. After the police saw him for a second time on 22 August, Somerset obtained leave from his regiment and permission to go abroad.

Lord Arthur went to Homburg, although he returned to England. When tipped off in September that charges were imminent, he fled to France to avoid them. From there he travelled through Constantinople, Budapest, Vienna, and then back to France, where he settled and died in 1926, aged 74. He spent the last 37-years of his life in a villa in the South of France with companion Andrew Neale.

Angelia Sparrow (born November 17, 1967)

Angelia Sparrow is best known as an author of GLBT romance. She writes in a variety of genres, including horror, paranormal, fantasy and science fiction. She is a former library paraprofessional who traded her card catalogue for ten in the wind and the hum of the highway.

She works steadily on the newest pieces, haring off on tangents as the muses move her.

Showdown at Yellowstone River, co-authored with Naomi Brooks, won a 2010 Rainbow Award as Best LGBT Historical and Best Bisexual / Transgender Novel.

Douglas Clegg & Raul Silva

Douglas Clegg (born April 1, 1958) is a horror and dark fantasy author, and a pioneer in the field of e-publishing. He maintains a strong Internet presence through his website and LiveJournal. On November 17, 2005, Clegg and Raul Silva, his partner of 16 years, were joined in a civil union. On November 17, 2008, Clegg and Raul Silva were legally married. The couple have a menagerie of rescued pets and enjoy canoeing, hiking and bicycling.

In May 1999, Douglas Clegg's novel Naomi became the Internet's first publisher-sponsored e-serial, garnering write-ups in Publishers Weekly and Business Week. The former called it "arguably, the first major work of fiction to originate in cyberspace." Some four thousand mailing list subscribers received free chapters of Naomi on a weekly basis, boosting print numbers for the Leisure paperback (published in spring 2001) from the low 50,000 range to over 125,000.

Born in Alexandria, Virginia, USA, Clegg grew up in an artistic family, and wrote his first story, about the death of his pet mockingbird, at the age of nine on a typewriter his parents had given him a year or two earlier. For years, he kept his writing secret, hiding his stories and sometimes destroying them, if he thought they might be found. He cites as formative influences the Edgar Allan Poe poems and Bible stories his mother used to read aloud when he was younger than five, and Twilight Zone episodes...followed soon after by Shakespeare, Shirley Jackson, and many other writers.
