Tracy Rowan has done office work, sold books, made and sold all manner of crafts, taught beading, edited tech manuals, been an artist and illustrator, and a street photographer, and for fifteen years she was a caregiver. But the thing she's found most difficult and therefore most fulfilling is writing. She lives in a craftsman-style two flat on Chicago's northwest side where she and her housemate spend a lot of time planning the garden, hanging with their friends and laughing a lot.Suffer the Little Children won a 2011 Rainbow Award as Best LGBT Historical and Best Writing Style.

Sonia Johnson (born Sonia Ann Harris; February 27, 1936) is an American feminist activist and writer. She was an outspoken supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and in the late 1970s was publicly critical of the position of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), of which she was a member, against the proposed amendment. She eventually was excommunicated from the church for her activities. She went on to publish several radical feminist books and become a popular feminist speaker. Johnson currently lives in New Mexico with partner Jade DeForest, where they run Casa Feminista, a hotel catering to feminist women. Johnson explains that, beginning of the '90, she and DeForest also retreated into their private lives, surrounded by female friends, flowers and laughter. But beginning of 2000s, they 'felt a quickening' and agreed that it was time to go back to New Mexico. They bought an old place and rehabbed it into a women's retreat center. 'That was fine as far as it went but we needed a real reunion … to begin to weave the broken web back together, recommit ourselves to women again. To bring women together again.' Like any major public event, the Feminist Hullaballoo has been a huge organizational undertaking, growing and coming to reality through the efforts of many women. 'The original idea,' Johnson is anxious to emphasize, 'was definitely Jade's.' She continues to speak at feminist events, including the 2007 Feminist Hullabaloo.
John Balance (first name also spelled Jhon and Jhonn; born Geoffrey Laurence Burton, later taking his stepfather's surname of Rushton; 16 February 1962 – 13 November 2004), born in Mansfield, England, founded the experimental music group Coil, in collaboration with his partner Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (27 February 1955 – 25 November 2010). He was responsible for vocals, lyrics, chants, synthetics and various esoteric sound-making instruments and devices. Outside of Coil he collaborated with Nurse with Wound, Death in June, Psychic TV, Current 93, Chris & Cosey, Thighpaulsandra and produced several Nine Inch Nails remixes. His early work and wide-ranging collaborations made him one of the most influential figures in the industrial, experimental minimalist and neofolk music scenes.
Peter Martin Christopherson (also known as Sleazy, 27 February 1955 – 25 November 2010) was a musician, video director and designer, and former member of the influential British design agency Hipgnosis.
