Meet the author: When I'm not writing I like going to concerts. Music is a big part of my life, I've played bass guitar since I was a teen. I love nature and enjoy hiking and working with causes that help protect our planet and wild animals.

I have loved books all of my life and have always enjoyed escaping the ordinary world by getting lost in a good book. I read a lot of different genres of books but have fallen in love with MM. I support the gay community and hope one day people will see that love is love and that it is a beautiful thing no matter your gender, race or religion. Joshua and his story have been in my head for years but I never took the time to write it.

With encouragement from some fellow authors and friends I took the leap and now all of you can get to know my characters and I hope you love them as much as I do.

Werewolves of Brooklyn by Brad Vance
Gay Paranormal Romance
Publication Date: August 4, 2015
Amazon Kindle: Werewolves of Brooklyn

Darien Mackey wasn’t looking for an adventure. For ten years, he’d been happy living in Brooklyn, working as a butcher in the same job, living in the same apartment, dating some “nothing-special” guys. Until one night his buddy Jacob talked him into taking ayahuasca, the soul-changing drug. And Darien had a vision…of a wolf, its all-too-human eyes on him, its paws on his chest, its enquiring mind in his own…

Darien Mackey is changing. He’s more confident, more assertive, hungrier, hornier. And his world is changing around him – his job, his home, his beloved Mechanic’s Library all falling victim to the predations of unscrupulous developers, bent on demolishing the old Brooklyn he loves and replacing it with a forest of condos. But he’s no longer a passive observer of his own life, and as this thing, this power, grows inside of him, he resolves to fight back, to preserve the way of life he loves.

And he’s not alone in the fight. The Lipsius Preservation Society of Brooklyn stands ready to assist in the battle, even though it seems like a bit of a joke to Darien, with its King and its Duke, Marquess, Earl and Viscount.

But there’s nothing funny about his growing attraction to Albeus Finley, King of this mysterious Court. And when slumlords and condo-mongers start to die mysterious, violent deaths at the hands of savage animals, Darien begins to realize that something is afoot in Brooklyn – something supernatural.

And it’s afoot in him, too…

Mr. Vance did it again. This is an absolutely amazing, fast paced story with a lot of sexy men battling some enticing drama! I liked the pace of the story, the characters are well developed. There is nothing about this book I didn't like. In the end, Brad left me quite happy and satisfied.

Fidelity by Lia Black
Gay Fantasy Romance
Publisher: Vinedark/ BlackHouse Press (May 1, 2015)
Amazon Kindle: Fidelity

How far can a man go in the name of faith?

Father Gareth De'Aubyn is a man tormented by his past and ready to sell his future to save the souls of his flock. He’s traded his Crusader’s armor for a cassock, and now ministers to the very people his army sent fleeing for their lives. When his church is attacked by unknown assassins, Gareth is mortally wounded, and with his dying breath, he calls out to the Creator for help.

But his god does not answer.

Instead, a demon heeds his call, cajoling him to promise his soul to the Sunderer, god of the underworld, for a chance to set everything right.

Fydelis was once an angel. Gareth’s Guardian Angel. But his love for Gareth caused him to fall from the heavens, and the Angel of Fidelity has become the demonic aspect of Regret. He is now the unwilling plaything of the Sunderer, the darkest of all dark gods. Seeing his Crusader again—a man he thought had abandoned him— is more cruelty than he can take. Fydelis, now a stranger to Gareth, is sent to the mortal world to make the dying priest an offer he can’t refuse, and in return, Gareth is tasked with the collection of some very stubborn souls.

Together, they begin a journey that will test everything they thought they knew about faith, love, and fidelity.

Very enjoyable with an interesting plot and 2 well drawn characters.

This is the story about fallen angel Fidelity and Father Gareth. While all the other priests chose females as their guardians, Gareth chose Fidelity, a male guardian. He always prayed to him for safety but one day, when the town was attacked, his prayers went in vain. The people in the town were dying, and so was he. In comes, Fydelis, the angel who had given himself to the dark, with a preposition mandated from the devil himself. Give his soul to Malaketh, the Sunderer, and the tragic day will start anew. Gareth accepts, he had to save his friends and neighbors.  Throughout their struggles, Malaketh tortures Fydelis every which way he can. This goes on for days, their Love, Faith and Fidelity tested all the way. This was a wonderful story to read, well put together and HUGE visuals!

Buckle up – Matty's back! Figure skater Matty Marcus didn't capture Olympic gold, but he won rancher Rob Lovely's heart. After Rob sold his ranch and Matty hung up his skates, they started a new life together in New York City. Now Matty has taken on a fresh challenge as a figure skating coach, and Rob's second career as a physical therapist should be everything he's dreamed of. But in the brutal heat of their third summer in the city, Rob yearns for the wide-open country, and the intensity of city life awakens Matty's demons. Matty asks for increasingly intense BDSM scenes, and his disordered eating and erratic behavior ramp up the stakes. Rob struggles to stay in control, and after a well-intentioned anniversary gift goes awry, he still thinks he can handle the fallout. But the concrete jungle is closing in and his coping skills are unraveling. Their love is deep, but Rob will have to admit the truth about what he really wants before they both tumble into chaos.

An enjoyable story about a country man who'd do anything for his city lover, the love of his life, even endure the BDSM scenes that Matty craves so he can deal with his new reality. He won't be competing any longer, at least not for the olympics. Now he coaches but his eating disorder is still intact, although he tries to cover it from everyone. An opportunity materializes and he gets an offer to teach in Denver, where they eventually bought a property in the outskirts of the city, thus having a city nearby but still have what Rob craved, peace and quiet in the country. I read the first two books so I could follow the story and give it a fair rating and boy! Am I glad I did. Quite entertaining! I'll definitely read more from this author!

Life can change in the blink of an eye. That's a truth Andy Slater learns as a young man in 1982, taking the Chicago 'L' to work every morning. Andy's life is laid out before him: a good job, marriage to his female college sweetheart, and the white picket fence existence he believes in. But when he sees Carlos Castillo for the first time, Carlos’s dark eyes and Latin appeal mesmerize him. Fate continues to throw them together until the two finally agree to meet up. At Andy’s apartment, the pent-up passion of both young men is ignited, but is snuffed out by an inopportune and poorly-timed phone call.

Flash forward to present day. Andy is alone, having married, divorced, and become the father of a gay son. He’s comfortable but alone and has never forgotten the powerful pull of Carlos’s gaze on the 'L' train. He vows to find him once more, hoping for a second chance. If life can change in the blink of an eye, what will the passage of thirty years do? To find out, Andy begins a search that might lead to heartache and disappointment or a love that will last forever….

The book is written from both Carlos' and Andy's first person point if view.  It works very well, since we get the same scenes described by both of the main characters.  The plot is romantic, without being cheesy and a pleasure to read.  The characters are alive and likable.  You are rooting for them throughout the labyrinth that is the life that will finally bring them back together. Being a Catholic gay man, I identified with Andy right from the start.  I too fought being gay, I was engaged to be married, but luckily, I did not carry it through - my girlfriend caught me at a gay bar and broke up with me.  I felt such a relief that I knew i had to be myself.  Ultimately:  "being with a man was my rightful place.  It was nothing to be ashamed of but something to be celebrated, because it was about love."
